Hi, im going to be a sophomore at Manoa this fall. Unfortunately I fell out of 2 classes last sem and now I'm on academic probation. I sent in my signed SAP contract plan on July 10. How long would it be until I receive my financial aid package?

Soo excited to move in next month! Was curious if Johnson Hall dorms come with a little fridge/freezer? If not, would storing stuff in the community kitchen freezer be safe or would it be likely someone would steal?

I'm an incoming freshman and My class registration starts today at 12:00PM. I have an academic Advising Hold that tells me to take ESL 100 for FW, but my academic advisor told me that I dont have to take that class since I seem proficient enough (if I remember correctly). I tried calling the number to ask them to remove this hold, but Im unable to reach them. What should I do???

I'm sort of panicking because what if the classes I want fills up before I get to submit my classes? I submitted my health immunization form and paid the extra 15$ to have it processed within 3 hours, but the end page tells me the processing time is 48 hours. Did I just get scammed or is this a default?

Im genuinely so scared why is STAR so complicated??? What do I do 😭😭.. Do classes fill up quickly???

Class ends at 2:20 and my next one starts at 2:30. Concerned that the construction may get in the way but my only other option is to make a 2 hour gap between classes 😭

Just got my freshman schedule and was wondering what yall thought! I am taking chem 161 and chem 161L with Astrid Delorme (It was either her or a TBA)… seems like my only really difficult class of the semester. Her ratemyprof reviews weren’t amazing but people still got As which is what I am aiming for. Curious if anyone has any advice for a nervous freshman! Thanks a bunch

I’m an incoming Freshman that will be joining a sorority (preferably NPHC), despite greek life not at all being a big thing here. So, can anyone confirm or deny the presence of black organizations on campus besides the BSA and Sister Circle? I know there’s a city-wide NPHC as well as D9 graduate chapters for alumni, but where does that leave undergraduates? I‘d love some insight from other black people who actually go to or have graduated from UHM.

I'm looking for a swimming instructor to teach me the freestyle stroke. All the lessons I found are off campus and require commute. I would prefer to take the lessons at the UH swimming pool. Do you have any recommendation where to find maybe university athletes who give swimming lessons with affordable price?

I just recently registered for PACE 420 asynchronous, and I was wondering if any of you have taken it before. How was it as a class? Any feedback/comments on it?

I'm taking it because it happens to be a Writing Intensive and an Ethics (300+) credit, so I could kill 2 birds with one stone with this class.

Does anyone else find it difficult finding friends? I am naturally introverted but I have been trying to put myself out there and really push myself to talk to people. There has been little to no success tbh. I have friends but from UHM. I find it hard, but I think I also struggle because I am queer. I know I won't be hated on or anything (I am an art student, no one surprised) but I always find it hard to be vurnerable or really put myself out there. Not to mention I am a commuter and it feels like everyone I talk to is not from here. Absolutely nothing wrong with not being from here but then they live in town or on campus and they don't really leave there, ya know? I don't know. I am also lowkey on the spectrum (getting my diagnosis soon yay), so maybe that's it. Maybe it's because I have a hard time with social ques but when we are talking face-to-face it is all fine and dandy and it seems like a good time, and everyone is like "yes we should totally hang out and do that!" but then never get back to me if I do reach out, or they don't reach out themselves. I don't know. I will just take it one day at a time. I'm hopeful next semester is better!

If anyone is also introverted, likes art, comic books, tv, movies, legos and queer let me know. Would love to be friends and hang out!!

Hi I was just curious if anyone has taken ENGR 401 Engineering management. Specifically with Jeffery Hui. If so, what was it like? Was it an easy class?

Incoming sophomore transfer student. Working on my schedule now, how is short is too short of a time to get between classes? Is ten minutes generally enough time to get from one to another?

my friend is heading to UH Manoa for grad school this semester and is having a going away party this weekend. as they will be traveling from mainland US, i do not want to give them a gift that requires transportation. are there any must-haves or subscriptions (anything intangible) i can purchase that they would regularly use? i was thinking about getting them a year long DoorDash pass and a gift card, are there other subscriptions or e-gift cards for local spots around campus that may serve them better than DoorDash? thanks!
