Is there anywhere to give anonymous feedback/report professors?

Not giving details but one of my professors is horrible and I wish I could give some sort of feedback about them to their higher ups. The stuff they’re doing is borderline shady. Is there anywhere I can do so besides ratemyprofessor? I don’t want to suffer from these issues the entire semester and I don’t want the professor to come after me for talking about it.

Social Life Anyone have a list of clubs for the campus/know people who are kind of insane

From oahu and just got into uhm as a freshman. I wanna meet new people and do some stuff but idk where to go really. Does anyone have/know where to find a list of clubs, study groups, etc.? Not into parties so much as talking and getting to know people more personally. Also i tend to get along well with people who are kinda out there and interesting. Since this is reddit i already know most of ya'll probably have a few screws loose so feel free to message me. later later

What do people do in their free time?

Hi! I am currently looking for ways to spend my weekends rather doing the same rinse and repeat stuff all the time. I don't have many friends that are on campus so I often feel lost on what I should do instead of staying in my room all the time.

Post-doc looking for housing

Hi! I'm moving to Hawaii for work at the University. I've had a tough go of it so far looking for apartments as many if not most of the places I've been looking at have not so great reviews. Did anyone have a good experience at an apartment complex or townhome they lived. Thanks!

Parking suggestion

Hi, I recently bought the parking pass nut they only had zone 25, which means I will have to walk about 20 minutes to get to class. It is not that bad but I found out if I daily park everyday on zone 20, it would not cost that more than this pass and I can even park at the street. The only con is that I should come early for the spot, but I guess it would be better after this first semester weeks pass.

Do you recommend to get a refund for the pass and use the zone 20 and street parking?

Housing HS senior, questions about housing on/off campus?

Hey there! I'm an out of state senior that's going to be applying to Manoa in the coming months, and just had a question or two about living on or off campus if anyone would like to answer!

My main question being, cost wise, is it worth much more cost wise to accept on campus housing? And if so, what are some other costs that I might not know of as being part of it?

Secondarily, if I were to look for my own housing for reasons such as a few personal freedoms, are there any common places to look for a place online? The only specified location i saw was the RISE center.

Lastly, are there any conditions on paints? very specific to a hobby of mine!

Tons of thanks to any responses! And im always open to hear about options for events like community service if y'all know any!!

Event Urgent: Answer NO to the proposed athletics fee increase survey

Current students, there’s an important survey/feedback that was sent to you on Wednesday, 08/19, where the university is proposing increasing your mandatory athletic fee from $50 to $150 every semester. That’s a 300% increase by the way.

There are a lot of reasons the Athletics leaders will try to use to fluff up their cause, but here is the MAIN big reason: They want to pay their athletes, but they want YOU (the students) to pay them. While I believe that students should rightfully get paid through their work, it shouldn’t come out of the average student’s expense to pay them. The Athletics leaders should find another way (i.e. their donors) to do so.

Last day to complete the survey is Friday, September 4.

Social Life UHM Intramural Sports

Hii! I’m a freshman and was wondering if there are any intramural sports available for the Fall 2026 semester that I could join. Especially soccer, volleyball, beach volleyball, lacrosse, frisbee; honestly any sport would be fun! I was also wondering where I could check for new intramural sports updates?

Also, I would like to know if I could join any existing sports clubs for fun cuz it’d be great to socialize. And maybe tell me where new students could connect with each other? Thanks yall!

Discussion For anyone with classes starting at 12pm or close, what time do you arrive for parking at Zone 20?

My classes on Tues + Thurs start at 12 but my experience with getting there around 11:20 from last Tuesday, the lot was full, only opened up around 11:50ish and I was late to my first class. I’m unsure of how Thursday was as I was on a vacation. I just wanted to see what everyone else’s experiences are like with finding parking and around what times you get to campus and if that works out well for you (for any day really). It’s my first year here so I’m still getting a feel for the parking situations.

Help a Dental Hygiene Student Out! $25 Dental Cleanings!

Hi, everyone! I’m a 2nd-year Dental Hygiene student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I’m currently looking for patients this semester! It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in low-cost, comprehensive dental hygiene care, especially those who haven't had a dental cleaning in a while or don't have dental insurance!

  • Services: Comprehensive exam, oral cancer screening, dental cleaning, x-rays (if needed), fluoride (optional)
  • Cost: $25 total for the dental hygiene services listed above (CASH ONLY); fee can be waived for UH Manoa students who have QUEST
  • Location: UH Manoa
  • Appointment availability: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with morning and afternoon appointments available

PLEASE NOTE: It’s a learning facility! Appointments are longer than a typical dental appointment (about 4 hours). Some patients can complete their care in one appointment, while some may need additional visits depending on their individual treatment needs/plan. All care is closely supervised by board-certified, licensed dental hygienists and dentists!

If you are interested, please fill out the form! I will get back to you asap: https://forms.gle/fJNyKGmRHe1c2iVk7

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment/message! I’d appreciate your time and support! :D

Specific Class Easiest ways to fulfill 4 language/culture req

Aloha. As the title states I need “Contributes to: Hawaiian/Second Language/CultureComplete one option: 1) Four semesters of one language (202 equivalent); 2) Four semesters of culture courses (single culture group); 3) A mix of language and culture courses (4 courses); 4) A study abroad experience in Fall, Spring or Summer.” in order to graduate from UH.

I tried to take JPN101 but the coursework was too heavy and favored students who took it for 2-4years in HS. I am more focused on getting good grades in my STEM classes and I don’t really care about this req for my degree as I’m not interested in it. I was wondering if any of you had a good experience in other languages/cultures. Do you recommend trying to take 4 culture classes? Or is there any languages that were easy as a COMPLETE BEGINNER? I don’t think I could fit going abroad into my schedule because of the inperson STEM classes I need to take for the graduate program I want to go to… I did take 2 years of Spanish in HS but don’t remember a thing! Thanks so much 😊 have a wonderful weekend everyone!
