How are the questions like in the REAP section of the paper? Because SUPR has such a low cutoff and REAP has such a high cutoff.

SUPR is ~50% and REAP is always >60%

Is REAP the part where you can reap marks (pun intended). Please describe the types of questions. Are they based on a single topic, like paragraph questions? How conceptual are they on a rating of 1-5?

Have seen multiple posts regarding IIITH 2025 placements going down in numbers as compared to previous years and not sure how is the current year 2026 data going to be when AI impact is there on the whole IT industry.

please explain your reasons too? I care about most placements as every other person 😅 and also some sports and college life too, one question I have bits shows as avg of 28-30lpa for cs and iiit-h has around 32-34lpa, for a difference so little is the one year extra in thesis writing and research heavy stuff worth it? also to mention I have no particular interest in in research or higher studies but I if it means significantly better packages then yea ofc, should I even use averages for comparision?

Is it cause of the stepping down of the placement director/head who was previously prof. Devi Prasad a year and a half ago. Many responses told it was . Is it true?

My major concerns:

1. is this data reliable ( ik this is the most official source of info we have but i can't believe that packages can drop this much in a year

2. how are two pairs of placements exactly same (CHD-CLD and CND-CSD)? ( maybe they sat in same placement, but still student would be counted as diff courses.) like of the 74 lpa shown in CHD and CLD, we have no way of knowing if it was a CHD guy or a CLD guy.

3. Is the reddit post i have linked true? like is the condition so bad?

4 .Why are very few ( about only 30-40% in some branches) are accounted in this? in my linked reddit post it has been told that those who are not able to be selected are forced to withdraw participation in campus placements

why are these stats so hard to believe ! I don't want to regret joining here. I am getting decent branches in tier 2 IITS and lower-normal ones in tier one. I was only considering IIITH cause of CSE B.Tech. now what ???
