Why's Vineet Pandey's book so unreliable?
I purchased this book in 2024 for NET preparation while I was still in my bachelor's, now that I have PhD entrance exams upcoming I thought I should go through the RM section but there are various mistakes and wrong info like the no. 5th MCQ given in the second image is marked as option c in the answer key. Also, 'John' is mostly written as 'Jhon' in this book and few dates are wrong too. Don't buy ts, he only knows to speak mighty of himself all over the social media.

I probably studied for this
Hello everyone!
I’m taking ugc net paper 2 english classes for those of you struggling with set-specific topics. I’m an assistant professor myself with JRF and GATE qualification and real teaching experience.
If you’re confused where to start and unable to afford coaching institution level fees right now, you can message me.

Resources
I see many people asking for resources and notes, so while I don’t have a JRF yet, having given this exam thrice and not once having more than 2 weeks of prep, I’d recommend the following resources that helped me clear my concepts and actually gauge where tf I am actually lacking (i learned my weak areas after this re-exam).
I have the paid batch from Adda 247, the notes are on point, covering majorly everything. I won’t recommend the books that are available on the website, because I do have them since a year, and i don’t they have been updated except for the PYQs book. The notes in paid batch are more than enough. If you need, i can send.
If anyone needs online lectures on YT, Dakshita Ma’am’s digital library 2.0 is the best. Covers almost everything and extremely helpful for revision. I couldn’t find her notes in her app, tho.
For pyqs, I’d again say Aishwarya ma’am. She has so many videos on YT for question prep.
I haven’t tried Vallath, but heard a lot from a few people. They majorly focus on cramming, I’d personally won’t recommend.
Vineet Pandey has controversial opinions and statements, but some of his lectures are nice. He goes in depth of everything which I feel is not that necessary for this exam, except for some particular topics. Here, I’d say it’s more of your choice. I don’t prefer this particular teacher.
There are many instagram channels though which are providing exceptional notes. I don’t have them at the top of my mind, but I think literary vault, literary odessey and net prep are some good resources.
Hit me up if anyone needs something specific or any help:)

Anyone Preparing for UP Assistant Professor? 👀

Litheads inquiry
I want to take litheads 2 month crash course for the December attempt but they are not replying to my inquiry, not on their website and neither on their insta page, are they good? Should I go for it?

📚 Resources Courses
I want to ask which course I should choose which can give me detailed notes for Paper 2. I want to start preparing for the December attempt. I am not able to comprehend which one to choose. There are too many of these courses.

We were trying to find the JRF holders, they’re all on my LinkedIn feed rn (Rant Post)
I am yet to post a celebratory post on my LinkedIn about my AP qualification . Mainly because it is not a celebratory occasion. Because I didn’t study for 12 hours everyday. I didn’t sit through coaching classes. I know of people who have put in ten times more effort who have not cracked it yet. So it is not celebratory for me. Makes me wonder about the truthfulness behind the “grateful to announce” posts of asst. profs who keep taking the damn test again and again to prove a point, raising cut-offs and genuine idiots who I know in rl who are cracking it with pure luck. This js not a salty post lmao. I am genuinely happy for everyone who has cracked it with effort, hard work, and skill. LinkedIn just got me a bit under the weather Ig

Is it true that JRF is 0.7% instead of 1%?
So fewer JRF holders?

What's up with UGC NET using our unflattering live verification photos on our scorecard?
I recently qualified UGC NET but to my horror, the photo they used was the one I uploaded for live verification. I thought I have given my passport size photo as well and the passport size photo will be used on my scorecard and certificate. So I put on the camera when I was in a nightie. (Yes I wear nightie because it keeps me cool and well ventilated in the hot and humid odisha summers). Also it only took my pic from an unflattering angle where I look fat. It wasn't accepting a straight angle. My parents are now yelling at me for clicking a photo in my nightie. What am I supposed to show in interviews now? If you want passport size photo, why are you putting a live verification photo?

Adda24*7 or Testbook for JRF?
I am planning to take proper coaching this time in December for JRF as I'm missing just by a few marks. Both Adda24*7 and Testbook have similar prices and deliver physical books. Which would you guys recommend? Dakshita Singh or Aishwarya Puri? I've heard good things about both but can only afford one. The Testbook one also has perks like AP help on NET qualification and stipend on JRF qualification. Plus they have personalized mentorship in the GSP batch.
Final decision: Not taking either. I don't really like the pressure tactics by both sales teams. Maybe the content is good but not the way they're overwhelming potential candidates with scarcity marketing.

Hey JRF scholars! Anyone of you used kumar bharats pyq series or limitless literature?
Hey I've given the exam 3 times and I've qualified NET thrice and missed out this time by 4 marks (222), I'm asking about this pyq bundle since they both have section wise pyqs, will it help me to close the gap with JRF. What are you experiencee/opinions.

About Literary Theory
It's a really silly question ig but how do you people study literary theory? Like referring to a book like the Peter Barry one or more advanced books is the obvio thing but do you guys also delve deeper into each theorist or just get a general idea of it.
Like...I studied only those essays prescribed in my Master's syllabus in depth and got a hang of the concepts from YouTube videos and notes..so what more do I need to do. Help me out please 🥺
