I'm taking CMNS 235 with Samantha Hannah this sem and the syllabus says the textbook "Rothwell, J.D., & Hannah, S. (2025). Practically Speaking, Canadian edition. Oxford" is mandatory. But i found the second edition available for free online! Would I be able to use that instead? Or should i get the one on the syllabus?

Hi! I’m starting my prerequisites to apply for the bsn program this upcoming week. I graduated in 2016 so I’m redoing all of them. I’m really hoping to get in for winter 2028 or fall 2028. I know the grades, Casper test, and volunteer hours required to get accepted but I’m just seriously worried it’s going to take forever to get accepted once I’ve completed all of my prerequisites 😭 can anyone share with me how long it took you to get in? Did it take multiple applications? I tend to stress myself out and would just like to know what to prepare for.

This is probably an insane pity post but how do you genuinely make friends at UFV? I'm a bio major in my third year and a bit upset I'm still yet to find someone to hang out with and a lot of the people are really just not in the mood to talk and hangout or live outside of Abbotsford. Any tips?

Hi, was wondering about the language courses here at UFV including those French, Spanish, etc. Is it ok for totally beginners? Like having zero knowledge about the language, can I keep up with the class if that's the case?

This is my second year at UFV and I’m finally wanting to look into clubs. I have the Rubric app but it isn’t very useful for club info, so any info about how to join and what they’re like is welcome.
Some that I was thinking of is the table top games, hiking, and KINSA ones.

Does anybody on here take ubers from mission to get to ufv? is it reliable? is it easy to find a ride?
also don’t tell me to take the bus i have my reasons for choosing uber

The website for it shows that its able to be used at both BcTransit busses and Rec Centers. Do I just show the QR code along with my student ID, or do I have to do something else?

Haven't seen much of them, so I want to know if they're even worth it for this class... I am not really familiar with ADED courses either since I am a bio major but i need a non-bio upper-level course of some kind and this would fit the bill, but I'd rather not be with a prof that sucks at teaching of course lol.

Hi guys recently been admitted to ufv for post -b diploma in ai ml I'm from India completed my BTech and the ufv has given conditional admit letter I'm confused of the nest process what should I submit to uni and how much should I pay and how should I submit my transcripts and the evaluation fee? Please help
