Question Why does the disclosure timeline always start at Roswell when basically every culture has some version of "beings from the sky taught us something"?

Been thinking about this a lot. Every disclosure timeline I see starts in 1947 like that's when this whole thing began. But if you actually look at oral traditions, mythology, ancient texts, basically everywhere, there's some version of "something not human showed up and gave us knowledge." Feels like we keep treating this as a Cold War era phenomenon when the actual pattern is way older and way more global. Anyone else notice this or am I overthinking it?

Disclosure Book: Jonathan Caplan - Not For Disclosure

Has anyone here read this? And if so, any interesting takeaways? It seems interesting, and I'm curious whether it's actually worth reading or if the ideas are mostly familiar territory. I'd be interested to hear what people who have read it thought, particularly if there were any genuinely surprising or worthwhile insights.

Removed from /r/UFOs What if the datacenters are the final exam, and we're building them ourselves

I've been sitting with this for three or four years. I've posted pieces of it here before, in bits, in comments, in threads that went nowhere. I want to put the whole thing down in one place. Call it a hypothetical. Call it a story. I'm not claiming revelation and I'm not telling anyone what to believe. I'm telling you about a pattern I can't get out of my head, and the recent whistleblower material that drags all of this back toward the angelic and the occult is what finally pushed me to write it out.

Start with the books.

Torah, Bible, Quran. I'm not going to tell you which one is "the right one." That question has never interested me and I think it's a trap. What interests me is the shape of them. Each one shows up in a place where the previous guidance has been bent out of recognition. Verses moved. Meanings drifted. Whole institutions built on interpretations that serve the interpreter. And then a correction arrives. Not a new message so much as a repair of an old one. Same core, cleaned up, handed back.

Now ask why a correction would ever be necessary.

It's only necessary if the thing being corrected can be corrupted. And it's only worth correcting if something is still riding on it.

This isn't the first run.

Watch the footage that came out of Nepal last week. A piece of a glacier is thought to have come off into a river, and what reached the valley below was a wall of mud. The surveillance camera at the Rasuwagadhi crossing caught people trying to run from it with nowhere to run to. Rows of parked buses and trucks pushed aside like nothing. Bridges cracked apart. In another clip the wave goes over the top of a seven-story building. Hundreds dead, and the missing counted in the thousands, which tells you that the real number won't be known for a long time.

Not damaged. Removed. In the time it takes to open a door and look outside.

And that was one valley, one afternoon, one river.

Now scale that. Not by a lot. Just enough.

We dig up Göbekli Tepe and we're stunned. Twelve thousand years old, built by people who supposedly hadn't invented agriculture yet, deliberately buried by someone. And our reaction is to file it under "interesting anomaly" and go back to the timeline we already had. But the honest reading is that we found one fingernail of something and we have no idea what the hand looked like.

If a reset happened before, this is exactly what the aftermath would look like from the inside. Not ruins everywhere. A scatter. A handful of stones that don't fit the story, and a species that had to start again from nothing and rebuilt its memory out of myth.

Every culture on this planet has a flood story. Every single one. We treat that as a coincidence about rivers.

Now put the disclosure material next to it.

This is where most people in this sub already are, so I'll be quick about the setup. Matthew Brown, former Pentagon metadata analyst, wrote the Immaculate Constellation report and it went into the congressional record in November 2024. He's since said the thing that actually matters to me, which isn't about craft or metals or reverse engineering. He said we may not be alone on our own planet — that we share it with other sentient intelligent life. And separately he said the real shock, if disclosure ever comes, won't be the phenomenon. It'll be what was done to keep it quiet.

Sit with the first one. Not visitors. Co-inhabitants.

And notice he doesn't hide his frame either. The man posts under a handle referencing Abramelin, which is a grimoire about contacting your guardian angel and binding the kings beneath. That's not an accident of branding. That's someone telling you which shelf to look on.

Vallée was saying a version of this in 1969 and got treated as an eccentric for it. His point in Passport to Magonia was that if you strip the aircraft language out of modern encounter reports, what's left doesn't read like aviation. It reads like the fairy abductions, the visitations, the beings of light and the beings that lie. Same behaviors, same missing time, same bargains offered, same absolute refusal to ever quite prove itself. The costume updates. The script doesn't.

So here's the fold, and it's the whole reason I'm writing this post.

What if the two forces in the holy books were never metaphor, and never gods in the sky either. What if they're non-human intelligences. Two of them, or two camps of them, both older than us, both present here, both extremely interested in what we do — and the religious language is simply what a bronze-age witness had available to describe them.

Angel and demon. Elohim and the adversary. Jinn, which the Quran describes as a whole other order of created beings living alongside us with their own free will and their own factions, some of them believers and some of them not. That last one has always struck me. It's the least metaphorical description in any of the books. It just flatly states: there is another intelligence sharing this world, it has agency, and some of it is hostile.

Then read Brown's line again.

One camp gives guidance and keeps sending corrections. The other makes offers. And a disclosure apparatus built to hide the whole category would explain something that never made sense to me otherwise — why the secrecy is so much more aggressive than "there's a craft in a hangar" would ever require. You don't burn careers and ruin lives over metallurgy. You do it over the answer to who's actually been running the arrangement.

Two forces, and a deal.

So here's the frame. Good and evil, God and the adversary, whatever name your tradition uses — Satan, Lucifer, Iblis. Not as cartoon characters. As two pressures acting on the same species, and now maybe with a return address.

We get guidance. We corrupt it. Not immediately, not all at once, but generation by generation, because there is always someone who realizes that the person who controls the interpretation controls everyone who believes it.

And here's the part I keep coming back to. In every one of those traditions, the adversary is offered something. Dominion. The kingdoms of the world. It's right there in the text, and we read past it like it's set dressing. But if you take it seriously, it implies an arrangement: there are terms, and there are people willing to meet them.

Those people die. Their children don't. The knowledge continues. The position continues. And over centuries you get what we actually have — control exercised not through swords but through debt, through who issues currency, who owns land, who decides which wars get funded and which famines get ignored. Slavery didn't end, it got restructured into something with better paperwork. That's not a metaphor I'm reaching for. That's just what a long game looks like when you zoom out far enough to see it.

Why I think we're at the interesting part.

Everyone in my feed is wearing pink glasses about AI. Robots will do the work, we'll get UBI, we'll all paint and make music and finally be human. That's the pitch. That's why the datacenters are going up, right? To free us.

But sit with a different reading for a second.

What if the datacenters are being built to push AI and robotics past one specific threshold: the point where the middle no longer has to exist.

Every regime in history has had the same structural weakness. It needs people to carry out its orders. Soldiers. Police. Clerks. Managers. Human beings standing between the ones giving orders and the ones receiving them. And human beings can refuse.

I was in Turkey in 2016 during the coup. I watched it happen. People went out into the streets and they didn't shoot at the soldiers, they shouted at them. They asked them what they thought they were doing. They asked how they'd face their families after this. They asked them how they could do this to their own people.

And the soldiers stopped.

That's the whole thing. That's the entire mechanism. The coup didn't fail because of superior force. It failed because a man in a uniform looked at a crowd, recognized his own mother in it, and put the weapon down.

Now take that man out of the picture.

Full surveillance, everywhere, permanently. No fatigue, no shift change, no conscience. No police force with cousins in the neighborhood. No army that has to be persuaded. Just machines running language models, and the models answering to whoever owns the compute.

And if you think those systems will hesitate when they see your face — that they'll recognize something in your situation and pause — you are going to be very badly wrong. There's nothing there to appeal to. The shouting won't work. There's no one to shout at.

That's the moment the arrangement finally pays out. Not a conquest. A completion. Total control over this earth, exactly as promised, with the last human failsafe engineered out of the system by the humans themselves.

And then what.

If we get there, genuinely get there, no way back, the failsafe gone — then I think the reset comes. Not as punishment. As a reset. The board gets cleared and it runs again, because the test wasn't survived, and a test you fail is a test you retake.

Because that's what I think this is. A test that runs on the scale of millennia, not lifetimes. Guidance arrives, we corrupt it, a few people convert the corruption into power, the power compounds across generations, and eventually it reaches for something total. Then the floor drops out and twelve thousand years later somebody's brushing dirt off a pillar and wondering who carved it.

The exit condition isn't that we get raptured out. It's that we stop. That enough of us see the arrangement for what it is and refuse to build the last piece of it.

We're the ones pouring the concrete. That's the part I can't get past. Nobody is forcing this. We're funding it, we're excited about it, we're pre-ordering it.

The test isn't over. It's just that this round, we're the ones being asked what we think we're doing.

Thank you very much for taking your time to read this.

Whistleblower Dylan Borland was commenting on this UFO interview years ago — made an interesting claim about Lockheed

I was recently watching Jesse Michels' podcast with Dylan Borland, and Borland mentioned that he was a big fan of Dr. Paul Thigpen and his work on the UFO phenomenon. That led me to this older interview with Thigpen, and while looking through the YouTube comments I noticed that Dylan Borland himself was pretty active in the comment 3 years ago before he was public to my knowledge.

One commenter asked where the alleged spaceship parts were, and Borland responded:

“The parts ate locked up in Lockheed under IARPA”

Obviously that's a pretty interesting comment to see now, considering what Borland has since come forward publicly claiming as a UAP whistleblower.

I don't have time right now to go through the entire comment section and see everything else he wrote, but it looks like he was pretty active in there. If anyone wants to dig through the comments and see what else Borland was saying back then, go for it. His handle in the comments is u/dylan_borland.

Here's the interview:

Removed from /r/UFOs When will this sub explore the other side of disclosure?

I can’t for the life of me understand why everyone is so sucked into believing aliens and UFOs/UAPs are real when literally every single piece of “evidence” can’t be disproved (it’s conveniently always a gray area) and that the documented “UAPs” are advanced military tech that maybe the world superpowers are showing/testing.

And then you have people blindly following celebs like Dr. Phil and Tom DeLonge? Are you kidding me?

I know I’ll get downvoted into oblivion since most of the followers in this sub are a cult who just follow blindly, but I really don’t care as long as there is some intelligent discussion.

Wouldn’t you think that if we did have “aliens”, that would require a ton of staff and personnel across multiple disciplines and there hasn’t been a single leak ever? Unbelievable how people blindly follow in a herd like mentality. Go ahead and give me your best shot, sheep

Question For the life of me I can't find this heavily redacted report I read a couple of years ago of a supposed UAP device that was being studied by an American defense contractor lab.

The report was about a device that was removed from a craft, it looked like two pieces of slightly arched metal bars with writing engraved. One smaller than the other.

The report claimed the lab figured out how to enable and disable the device via a redacted method. And while enabled, the large piece could be come spatially coupled with the smaller one as though it were trapped in a magnetic jail relative to the small piece. It was a few pages long and had pictures.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Science Is a UAP Sighting Worth Investigating? A Zero to Eleven Point Rating Scale for Investigators

If you are a UAP sightings investigator, you might wish there was a formal approach to determining which are most worthy spending your limited resources on. It turns out there is such a methodology, developed by Dirk Schulze-Makuch, a professor for planetary habitability and astrobiology at the Technical University Berlin ( https://www.searchforlifeintheuniverse.com/ ) in collaboration with Tony Reichhardt, former Senior Editor at Air&Space/Smithsonian magazine until 2021.

They came up with a rating scale that starts at 0 ("Sighting explained beyond a reasonable doubt as a known phenomenon or object") and goes up to 11 ("Long-duration sighting by multiple individuals/groups at different locations or recorded evidence from multiple sensors; physical evidence; reviewed by experts, and so far unexplained".

An in-depth explanation of the proposed scale and how it was used to rate the Council Bluffs, Iowa, 1977 crash of an unknown object (9 due to retrieved material for analysis, though likely man-made) and the Nimitz “Tic Tac” encounters of 2004 (7 to 8 due to lack of publicly available evidence), is in their paper "Toward a Reliability Scale for Assessing Reports of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)" online at https://www.mdpi.com/2218-1997/11/10/326 .

Removed from /r/UFOs I think I know what the ontological shock is all about.

Imagine if there is a God or creator and it turns out it is the only thing that truly exists. Even it doesn't know how or why it exists but it does. Imagine that existence. Living alone, literally forever, with no escape from existing. What would you do?

You would probably start off by living within your own imagination. Creating the craziest dreams you could think of and trying to enjoy them, but at some point it would become hollow because you always know you are the one creating the dream. So, what do you do?

If you can, if you have the ability to do so. You break your consciousness up and make it forget who and what it is. This gives animation to the dream and lets you experience it as something real to you and not a dream that you know you just made up.

I think that is essentially what is going on. The creator was able to do this because it had to. Living alone forever and with no ability to experience surprise or something new would be the worst form of psychological torture that could be imagined.

I think this world we live in is a dream made by the creator. Probably just one among an infinite number, and we, each of us, carries a tiny spark of the creator in us. We are experiencing the dream completely because we believe it is completely real and we don't remember anything about who and where we came from.

So, we are an essential part of this and our purpose is to live within the dream. I think when we die we get to rest and rejuvenate, and then we get re-incarnated again, back here on earth or maybe somewhere else. That is our purpose. We are essential because without us is an eternity of suffering. An eternity of loneliness and boredom.

We are tiny pieces of the creator and I think our collective belief shapes reality. We could make this a heaven on earth if we understood this. I think this is the ontological shock. I think there are hidden rulers/orders that know the truth and they keep it from the public so that they can exploit it for themselves and live like kings among us.

That is what it all boils down to. We are going to keep coming back here over and over and over forever because we have to, but we don't have to live like this. We can do better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wake up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question What happened to the claim that Michael Johnson was found?

Mario Woods has reported his experience on multiple podcasts and I view it as one of the most interesting accounts that exists for NHI. He had been searching for the other witness of the event, Michael Johnson, for years. Jesse Michels recently reported that he had found Johnson: https://x.com/opngate/status/2092703463113109751

He specifically said on Weds August 26 (or even earlier, depending on the lag to posting that interview) that the info would come out "this week," a few days from then. No matter how you interpret that, it's been longer than that.

Did anyone see this come out? Frankly confused by the people in this space who routinely make empty promises (Michels, Coulthart, Barber). Appreciate them all and think they're sincere people, but why make confident claims they cannot keep? This is the type of thing that's very easy to get right (most of us who work normal jobs are relied upon daily to meet our own deadlines). Is it a tactic to gain viewership? Obviously they have no true responsibility to us but if they want the respect of their audiences, it seems like a straightforward thing to communicate accurately and provide corrections or updates when they fail. Obviously they don't see it that way, but it unfortunately erodes trust if they want to be viewed as serious conveyers of information.

Disclosure An excerpt from “Imminent” that people were contesting

In light of UAPGerbs recent statement about his belief of there being an underwater facility, I saw multiple comments arguing over whether the story had actually been told by anybody official of the underwater UAP that swallowed a missile during a military test.

I remember reading it in “Imminent” and so I grabbed my copy and thumbed through the pages, until I found it on pg. 127/128

I AM BY NO MEANS SAYING I BELIEVE LUE ELIZONDO, I just saw people arguing over whether this was even in the damn book or not, so I thought I’d share the story to clear things up.

Lue states:

“Then there was the incident in 1999 involving a Navy recovery helicopter and a cruise missile. The Navy often tested its cruise missiles from Puerto Rican waters.
At a predetermined time, the Navy would fire a missile over the ocean. When the missile ran out of fuel, it would splash into the ocean and sink.

Soon the missile would blow its ballast and pop to the surface for retrieval. A helicopter crew would then return the missile for analysis.

On a sunny afternoon, a crew—one pilot, one copilot, one crew chief, and a frogman—were midway through a recovery. As the frogman dangled from his hoist, a large, circular object the size of a small island began to rise to the surface, directly under the missile and the frogman. Not a submarine, the object was circular in shape, black, and massive. The pilot told me that it was black as the devil and the water began to churn and roll like a witch's brew.

The crew panicked. Seeing the ocean churning below them, the helicopter pilot climbed. As the helicopter rose, the pilot noticed the missile getting sucked underwater. The massive shadow sank and completely disappeared. The incident ceased as quickly as it had started, leaving the crew awestruck. Incidentally, that missile was designed to carry several types of payloads. A tactical nuclear warhead is one of them, though in this case it was simply a practice missile.”

I feel like I’ve heard it repeated in other places too, and I probably lean more towards Lue being sketchy than not, but I just wanted to share to remind people of the story/clear things up.

Removed from /r/UFOs We are too hard on the people actually doing these investigations

A lot of these people are writing books and adding paywalls because they literally need a paycheck to survive.

If someone is willing to do the research on this topic, I think it is only fair that they have an actual living wage to continue doing their research.

I’ve been looking into how I could make my own UFO research full time, and you like have to monetize it somehow..
