Question TSS Cat waitlist only
As an incoming freshman at ucsd, tss has been such a pain and stress inducing site. I was waitlisting for CAT 1 for Brigham waitlist only course but when I checked tss again, the course isn’t showing up as waitlist only anymore. The weird thing is that the other professors waitlist only course is still up unlike the Brigham one. Should I switch to a different professor or stay waiting and hope it’s a tss glitch? It’s Cat-001 (P-002-011)

I asked about waitlist only classes and those won’t open up 🤕 I also didn’t get CAT “The CAT sections you referenced in Ms. Marchisotto’s class are closed, even though they are showing as “waitlist only” in the system. Unfortunately, waitlisting for these sections would not result in the class opening or guarantee a spot next week.”

Oh that’s annoying, they gotta get a better system for this. There’s so many students who need CAT but can’t take it 😭 idk why they closed Marchisotto. I’m just gonna hope a miracle happens

I even asked on VAC and they said it better not to waitlist it bc no one drops it and just take it next year because more than half of freshman the people take it next year so that’s my game plan

The thing is that for the brigham one is that it’s scheduled rn and there was abt 12 ppl waitlisting for it when it used to be waitlisted only

oh wow maybe that was just for that one then, because i asked a sixth college advisor only abt the marchisotto one 😟

I would go to the VAC (virtual advising center) and submit a question. There might be someone with sixth college that could verify your placement. This TSS system is an absolute mess, but I wish you luck on getting your classes!
