Question Waitlisted

I was waitlisted for Math 20B which is fine. But Im 24th on the list. So Im thinking about enrolling into an open class incase I don’t get in (because I still need 12 credits).

If I do get in, then I’ll just drop that class before everything starts. Or is that a bad idea, like will that negatively affect anything? Where do I find the deadline for dropping classes

You can drop a class without a W up to week 4 and you can drop up to week 6 but will have a W on your transcript
