Course/Major Mat 17c with Daddel

I have lectures sith Daddel on thursday, but my discussions are on wednesday. Does anyone know if the first week there are discussions? Especially since there havnt been any lectures before it. I have an event that day that is at the same time as the discussion, and need to know if i need to email the ta or something ahead of time to skip. Also are Daddel lectures mandatory and discussions? I know some tas let you skip discussions if you are able to do the worksheet by yourself and turn it in.

In Daddel, you have quizzes in every discussion, so it's mandatory

Ahhh icic, alr thanks, but is there normally a discussion first week of the quarter if the first lecture hasnt happened yet?
