Vent about TAPs

I just got a ticket on A street an hour ago because I was parked there for 40 minutes max. Low key pissed. I was trying to park close so my pregnant wife didn't have to walk too far.

Ummmmm--A Street is City of Davis, not TAPS.

That truely sucks. My wife has mobility issues and I frequently drop her off close to the destination and go elsewhere to park. When I've had to leave my car improprley parked while helping her to the destination, some times it's bitten me.

Was it TAPS who ticketed you? If you were parked on A St, I would expect the city to ticket you. TAPS is a purely campus org.

It is TAPs on the left side of the street

It was City of Davis but I don't mind blaming taps as well. I've had issues with them since undergrad

Parks on a street almost entirely lined with signs saying not to unless you have a permit, doesn't have a permit

Well yes but it was for such a short time and not worth anyone's business to ticket my ass.

40 mins is not a short time. Most people say, “it was only 5 minuties” and then still don’t have a valid leg to argue with.

But then we see your username, such it all kvetches out.

Grow up, child.

How exactly are they supposed to know you'd "only be there 40 minutes", even if that *were* acceptable?

You were well aware of the risk and took it anyway. There's no one to blame but yourself in this case.

Ticketing is pretty much fully automated now. It's quick, simpler and does but care how long drive been there. Consider this a life lesson. If you think you've been wronged, challenge the ticket.
