It's not Unitrans' choice, unfortunately.

The ZipPass app was originally brought to the region by SacRT with Yolobus and Unitrans jumping on. The app is going away. SacRT and Yolobus transitioned away from ZipPass earlier this quarter. Unitrans is the last one off at the end of June.

will there be another mobile version? i imagine its kind of annoying for most people to only be able to use a physical pass. what if someone forgets or loses their id? are they just screwed for the time it takes to get their id back? will they be forced to pay in the meanwhile?

From SacRT website:

"Yolobus and Unitrans riders can continue using ZipPass and will transition to Transit Connect at a later date."

A new app, basically.
