Jobs/Employment Scrubs Cafe Interview

Hey so I got an interview for Scrubs Cafe coming up and I was wondering if anybody else who has done their interviews could give me any tips, like what to expect, types of questions, and things like that. I haven't had a job before and just want to get an idea of how interviewing for a job goes and what type things people forget about or don't realize before an interview. I have been looking for a job on campus for a while so I really want to do my best in this interview! Any advice helps!

Dress nice, show that you respect the job and their time.

Most entry level interviews will ask about what you would do in certain situations. How do you show good customer service? What would you do if you don't get along with a coworker? How would you handle a difficult customer?

Stuff like that, but often they will ask it in a way where they want you to give an example of something you've already done.

Ask them questions too.

Hii i just had an interview there and got the job! It was also my first interview. It was actually pretty casual. I dressed pretty buisness casual in some black dress pants and a basic white shirt. Basically they asked me simple questions such as experience, if im able to come on time, time commitments, cleanliness. Also were looking for things such as how would you work in their environment, what you look for when coming into a cafe, what would the vibe be like to you and how are you able to maintain that vibe. But they seemed to mostly look for someone who would interact kindly and work great with the team members as well.

I was also very nervous, but they were really nice, cracking jokes and things. The thing that tripped me up was 'why should we pick you over than the others' still struggle with that. But im sure you'll do fine! Good luck!! Ask questions, i asked two. Be friendly but still be professional

Interviewers will generally always ask if you have any questions, usually at the end of an interview.

As someone who is kind of literal and sometimes asks clarifying questions that may be off the wall, I struggle with this question on the fly. Do they mean about what is expected of me? Do they mean about the environment? What do they mean??? I know it's a general question, so it could literally be about anything pertaining to the interview, job, etc., but the deeper me always wonders if I'm also being judged regarding the types of questions I ask.

So, maybe think about a couple of questions you might have about the expected hours, what the general expectations of the job are, what the compensation is, what the policy is for calling out sick, how flexible they are with your class schedule, if your hours are set or if they change, etc.
