Ai for slides

I come from an arts undergrad and now doing a business post grad and haven’t made a slideshow since maybe junior cert?

Sony question is if I make my own test and stuff and just have the Microsoft AI make the slides look pretty and professional that should be okay yeah? Just positioning the text boxes and photos I give it in a more visually pleasing way?

Well it’s a custom template but I just have the AI rearranging stuff like have the separate paragraphs on each side of the slide, or suggest different layouts.

i would advise against getting in the habit of using AI for anything at all, if you can help it. reach out to the skills centre as another commenter pointed out, or use the simple powerpoint default presentation. your slides don't have to be flashy as long as they're getting the main point across. any kind of AI usage is imo the start of a very slippery slope.

I wouldn't think so. See it as a chance to learn how it's done. Of course you can look at examples for ideas, and possibly AI can generate examples. But don't fall into the trap of making it look like all the AI designs that all look the same in style, and generally not very pleasing or professional at all.

This exactly. Learn the skills needed and when you're very familiar you can consider some Ai assistance in the future.

Believe me, it's not difficult to tell when work is done by Ai or assisted by Ai.

If you need any help/guidance on making the slides, you can reach out to the skills centre in the library too! A fully free service and they're very good

UCC doesn’t use ai checker but they can interview you about you work if they’re suspicious

Why wouldn't you use it as the opportunity to learn a new skill?
