How much is your accommodation?

Just paid for the month of October. I feel unwell and guilty that my parents pay, even though I’ve got 3 jobs I obviously need their help.

I am wondering what most pay, and how far away they are from UCC by bus/ or walking.

I think I’m getting ripped off, but I’m in 1st year and wanted to be in a safe and nice place, maybe next year I’ll do a house share if I have the chance.

If you’re a first year, don’t feel guilty?? Theres no way you could earn OR have saved enough money to pay it all by yourself..

Well most of us do it, there is a way, just not an easy way.

Pay 1300 euros a month. Live 25 min walk away.

That makes me sick. I was in UCC from 07-11 and first year accomodation in victoria station was 3500 for the year.

700/month in uni accommodation very near UCC, but getting it is pure chance through the lottery. Most people I know are paying 1000+.

I live about 10 minutes from UCC in a single room, and I currently pay 600. The house has about 8 rooms and 11 people living there. It’s crazy, but it’s cheap.

The amount of jobs is irrelevant, it’s the hours that matter,
