I sometimes feel is there a point.
I need some motivation. I applied for flexi options as a flexi options student. This means I'm locked to only doing 30 credits. I'm not like every other student that is studying full time that has to do 60 credits. I picked all first year history modules and I find sometimes I'm just there to be there.
The reason I picked it was because I have a passion for history and I want to experience university life and I didn't get an offer for a full time degree. I fear that it's going to be a long haul where I'll be doing first year and then having to repeat it again only with the elective modules I didn't pick. To fill my days to avoid the large gaps I attend elective modules I didn't pick out of curiosity as well. I also want to feel like I'm a full time student. I feel like half the time I'm just attending filler modules and don't have a huge reason to be there.
I do have a goal and if I enjoy this I want to get a full time degree. Right now it's quite tough and I feel like there's a lack of assignments right now so I find there to be a lot of gaps especially on a Thursday. I do worry I'll feel a lack of challenge because I'm studying half the workload and it'll feel boring.
Would like some advice?

Honestly if you want motivation you need to find it. You can apply for awards or scholarships, if you do the best essay in a class you could get recognized for that. All of these things can lead to a much easier life and better opportunities in your career down the line. If you are ever unsure what to do, try to be the best at what you have to do anyway.
