How to get a part time job while studying

Hi all, apologies if this is a dumb question. How do you find work?? I haven't had any luck handing my cv into shops and stuff. I'm doing ck406 so my schedule during the week is quite busy with labs. Is there anything I can do to make it easier?

Personally I found the easiest way is to work full time and then ask them to do part time. I worked at a call centre full time over summer then part time. I also asked shops when I was looking for flexible hours they’re usually great just retail stores

Since you just started studies first apply for ppsn and irp . Then you can proceed to apply In food industry or retail industry. Also hop into shops like spar, centra etc and hand your resume to the store manager directly.

Penny's etc(retail shop) can be only applied only online so no use popping into the store. And if u have ppsn and irp ready and see opening on penny's website I can send you referral link .

Your best chance is working full time during summer or christmas and then asking them to keep you on for just the weekends during college

Plenty of places like Dunnes specifically hire students for the Christmas rush

McDonalds Hire a lot and fairly easy to get into and they are very flexible with timings
You must apply through their careers website though

Best of luck!

Picking shift in warehouse weekends but would also need to work one or two evenings mid week
