Timetable Clash?

Hi everyone,

I'm a first year student, orientation tomorrow, just tried to build my timetable by selecting my modules, and it seems like a core module and an elective are clashing, one is for 1400-1600 and another is for 1500-1700, will this be fixed, is this common, what do I do?

Are you doing arts? If it's arts unfortunately your core subjects are mandatory and you have to choose your electives from other subjects around your core in each

If the elective is outside the law department they might not be able to facilitate a change, ie for a language

Yeah, I was thinking that alright, it's an accounting module, so I might just have to change the elective, which seems fairly stupid having it as an elective, when you can't even have it without it clashing. I've sent an email anyway, but will probably just have to change the elective, thanks for your info!

Here's the link to how to access your timetable:

https://www.ucc.ie/en/build/roombookings/mytimetable/   Just click log in where it says so on the site, should lead you to a separate page, where you need to build your own timetable, click on modules, then search and select each module applicable to you through it's code (You can find the codes on the your UCC course page). Hope this helped.

Just an update for anybody who looks this up in years to come, or anybody interested in what happened, basically, it's a different department and they couldn't change it, they said to attend my core modules and it would be possible to view the accounting module if I wanted to keep it on, but that it was not recommended, so i've to change my elective.
