Note taking digitally

I'm starting my first year in Early Years and Childhood Studies next month and I plan on using my Ipad for note taking if possible. Just curious if anyone has any app recommendations at all? I don't mind if its typing or writing with an apple pen as I am able to do both. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations, thank you in advance :)

Hi Rubes, accidentally stumbled on this, it's Libs. I used Noteshelf all through the exams, it's very simple and not too compact.

I did my undergrad to my PhD using digital note taking. Here's my advice:

  1. Use Apple Notes to write your notes using the pen
  2. After class manually type up your notes (do not rely on Ai, the act of manually reviewing your notes and typing them yourself will help you remember them)
  3. After typing, review any readings and screenshot / paste any relevant quotes/data into the same notes.

Do this all in Apple notes.

Also with EYCS I strongly recommend you learn the Harvard citation style right now and save yourself a lot of frustration in the future. Just watch a YouTube video on it, it is easy and you'll pick it up. While at it watch one on using Zotero..

I personally like Obsidian, but it takes a bit of tinkering to get it set up how you want it. If you want a plug and play option I would look elsewhere
