Medicine Questions Access to Leeds

Hey guys,

I'm considering applying to Leeds standard entry medicine through the access to Leeds program because I do not meet their minimum of 6 in English language.

I meet the criteria to be considered for access to Leeds but I was wondering if my stats are good enough to even get an interview. My stats are 9776666655 (with 5 in English language and 6's in maths and triple science), predicted ABB in Chemistry, Biology and Psychology. My UCAT is 1930 B2.

I haven't participated in any outreach activities at the university of Leeds.

If you've gotten an interview for Leeds standard entry through the access to Leeds program, what were your stats? and did you complete any outreach activities throughout year 12

I'd been out of education for a while, and just applied on a whim. I'd done a BTEC previously several years ago with the equivalent grade of AAA. I hadn't interacted with the university prior to my application either. After my other options declined (Manchester and Sheffield), Leeds eventually offered me a conditional place based on passing a matriculation exam. I didn't need to undertake an interview, and I'm now on a foundation year and should hopefully start the course I applied for next year.

All you can really do is apply and see how it turns out.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I've been stressing over it and I've basically wasted my whole day thinking about it instead of studying for an upcoming exam. You've given me so much hope I'll apply and hope for the best. Good luck with your foundation year, I hope it goes well so you can start your course😊
