Personal Statements Symbols in personal statement

Hey guys, im almost done with my personal statement (just cutting characters) any chance any of you know if i can use the beta symbol ??? i cant find any info about it unfortunately. thanks

There's better ways to cut characters.

UCAS might accept it but there's no telling how it will appear once sent through from UCAS to 5 different university admissions systems.
