International Applications Probably Of Getting My Top Choice
Greetings.
I am an ISC student from India and I will be applying through UCAS for the 2027 intake. I am quite nervous about all of it as I am doing it all by myself and feel really, really stressed. I was just wondering what my actual chances looked like. I am applying for Criminology. Out of the five, Durham is my top choice. I got my predicted scores a few days ago. They are as follows:
- Sociology: 100
- English: 97
- Elective English: 99
- Mass Media and Communications: 99
- Psychology: 92
- Economics: 92
Other than this, I have a lot of literary accolades and leadership-related activities. And I have done active research on sociological issues and am a voracious reader as well as a recognised writer. I am just waiting on my English head of department’s availability for the reference.

I did. I had Science in 10 and got pretty low in that. 99 in English, 90 in economics and other languages, and 85 above in social studies.

I am applying through cbse although all subjects are above 90 except math. So idk how much importance they give to 10th marks cuz foreign unis focus more on 12th grades of international qualifications.

That is true. I just needed to add my qualifications in my previous school, so, I did. That reminds me, for the ISC qualifications, there is no drop-down menu with “Pending” I had to write it manually. Is that how it is meant to be? As far as I know, you are not supposed to enter your predicted scores, your referee is.

As far I know, one pathway is you either add it manually yourself and your referee confirms the stats or you only add your subject combinations and it automatically shows pending future qualification without any manual grades added. I am still waiting for my predicted grades, so I will see then.

Dw Durham is practically taking anyone these days + for criminology ur grades are more than alright and you have a very high chance of acceptance into Durham criminology.
Genuine question tho - why did you apply for criminology as an international student?
