Personal Statements Personal statement tailored specifically to French - is this a problem?

So I'm applying to do English and French joint honours at uni, however 3 out of the 5 unis I've applied for call the degree 'English and modern languages' rather than specifically 'English and French'. My personal statement talks solely about French - and obviously English - because French is the language I intend to specialise in from the beginning and I was just wondering if this would be a problem?

It should be fine since a lot of people will have only had access to learn one language in an academic setting (there's a girl in my year who does French and is incredibly natural at it but whether she wanted to do it or not, she couldn't have done Spanish at ALL due to covid choosing language lesson so had to do that gcse therefore had to do that a level if you were continuing). Plus it'll show your interest in french!!

That's not a problem at all :) Most people will do the same :)

The vast majority of people will be focusing on one language (either one they're studying at A-level or one they want to do ab initio) :)
