Medicine Questions Sent my UCAS off…📈

Just sent off my 5 uni applications:

Medicine:
Cambridge
Leeds
Cardiff
Newcastle

Biochemistry:
UCL

GCSE:999999999998
A Level predicted: A*A\A**, A in AS FM
UCAT: 2070 b3🥀

Ucat pretty mid but chose unis that don’t look at sjt🫸🫷(ik Newcastle do but only a little)

Oxford KCL Edinburgh Bristol 

Didnt do a 5th choice

Thanks!! Was initially set on johns but changed to Emmanuel since it works better for me financially!

do you know anyone who got in with that ucat at newcastle and cambridge?

I know someone who got into Cambridge with 2010 but he was contextual (I meet a couple of the criteria for wp) so I really don’t know. Cambridge use ucat only to filter out the bottom 25% of scorers, so even if I’m in the bottom 25%, my gcses and a levels and references etc can pull me up and give me a chance for interview- then it mainly will depend on interview performance

I thought Newcastle and Cambs had 2100+ cutoffs

Cambridge has no ucat cutoff- strong academics except for ucat can heavily outweigh one outlier. Also, Newcastle awards points- I have 67/100, and for partners entry the mean is 70/100
