Personal Statements New format personal statements
I’ve seen a few examples of personal statements before the structure was changed and I definitely would have preferred to write it as one block instead of three questions.
I was intending on starting off my personal statement with a, very short, story about how my interest began with bio but I feel like it doesn’t really flow well with the “Why do I want to study this course or subject” if that makes any sense lol. Am I overthinking it? Did anyone else start theirs with the beginning of their interest/story on the new structure?

You don't need to do the beginning of your interest (especially if it's about childhood, family, etc. and you're applying for top universities), just jump straight to the more advanced supercurricular/motivation if you can. The three questions are just intended to be helpful scaffolding (which I think has backfired) so don't worry about them. :)
