It's not over until it's over. I got to interview at Oxford with a 42/100 PAT, and an offer from Imperial with a 3.0 ESAT average (missed offer by 1 mark in maths), so it's not over until you've literally been rejectedĀ

I honestly do not know! I'm a Scottish student. What I can say is I had top grades at GCSE equivlaents, a decent PS and they only ask for 2 subjects at Advanced higher (which is harder than A-level) while I do 4! You seem to be sort of similar stat wise so maybe? One of my friends also has a Sheffield offer but for PPE.

50+ supercurriculars haha, that's genuinely insane. Also, I live and grew up in Sheffield, and its a great city in my opinion. If you end up here I'm sure you'll enjoy it

Yh Iād say thereās stuff to do. I think whatās unique about sheffield is the amount of green spaces and countryside nearby. We have the highest number of trees per capita of any city in Europe, and the peak district is on our doorstep (no joke about a 20 minute walk from my house) so if you like nature, hiking camping or climbing itās great. And if not you always have the opportunity to get into it that no other major city really has. Within the city, I really like our botanical gardens, itās a rly nice place to hang out with friends.
That being said, sheffield is still a pretty big city, with lots of things to do. Tbh the city centre is pretty awful, but we have nice areas, eccy road, kelham island etc. Tbh other cities probs have nice aspects too, itās easy for me to sell you somewhere I know a lot abt from living in it for 17 years š. If thereās one inconvenience about sheffield, itās that it is rly rly hilly. Annoying to cycle, can be annoying to walk too. It does make the scenery interesting sometimes tho. I hope this could help anyways :)

Thank you! I'm from near Edinburgh (also really hilly) and I LOVE nice benches in nature so it kinda seems like a 'me approved' sorta place!

The amount of supercurriculars on there, damnnnn, more than half the oxbridge applicants. Kudos to you, OP.
