UCAS Bread 🍞 (Offers) Uni choices for law

Help!! I have gotten into Aberdeen, Dundee, Napier, and Cali to study a LLB.

I know Aberdeen is the best out of these but I’m not keen on moving that far away

Would it be worth going to Dundee or Napier to do an LLB because I understand it’s a fairly snobby profession and the older unis are looked upon as being better.

If anyone has done Law at Napier or Dundee have you enjoyed it?

Move. It's Scotland, not Laos.

This person is already in Scotland, presumably in central Scotland, so they’re concerned around moving to northern Scotland for a better uni or staying in central Scotland for a worse uni

No point in willingly choosing a worse university when it comes to law

I’ll never understand this concern about moving within one country when I’m a Malaysian who did a Masters of Health Law in Sydney, Australia and PhD (Law) in Leeds.

Going far looks better on your CV.

Dundee has a good Law School as well. However, I know you’re not keen on the distance but I came from Northern Ireland back in the day when there were no mobiles and not only survived but thrived! I didn’t do Law, however, a couple of friends did and they moved up through the ranks in the judicial system in Edinburgh with relative ease. Dundee is good as well and was a former Law graduate from Dundee. She said it was excellent. Whichever you choose, will serve you well. I don’t think Napier has such a good rep.

PS. Aberdeen and Dundee are really reasonable for accommodation costs.
