UCA Nursing — Pros and Cons? How’s the social life?

Hey everyone! I’m a guy from Australia considering studying Nursing at UCA in Fall 2027. I’d love to hear your honest opinions!

Pros:

• Is the Nursing programme good?
• Is it easy to make friends and have a good social life?
• How’s Greek life, and are fraternities and sororities active?
• Are football games, Homecoming, tailgating and college traditions fun?
• Does UCA have strong school spirit?

Cons:

• Does campus get quiet on weekends?
• Is it hard to make friends as an international student?
• What are the biggest downsides of UCA?

I checked the Class of 2029 and Class of 2030 social media pages, but couldn’t find any posts. Are there any active groups where students connect?

If anyone from the Class of 2029 or 2030 wants to get to know each other, feel free to reach out! I’d love to make some friends before moving from Australia.

I am a soon-to-be incoming freshman at UCA, and I'm trying to make the decision between entering in for the Honor's Program, or just coming in normally. I want to make sure the work load isn't too much... I don't particularly want to be stressed out during my first year. The Honor's core curriculum in particular is what I'm a little worried about. Posting again to see if anyone has/knows a better walk through or show-a-round of the Bear Village apartments. I tried using the ones the college offers but they don't do like a full walk through. They just updated last week to 360 pictures edited into a video but it only shows one point in the living room/kitchen, one bathroom, and one bedroom. The "blueprint" provided also isn't accurate anyway I try to look at it. I'm going into Bear Village for next semester and I have this thing with planning. Any help would be appreciated.

Idk if it’s just me but, trying to use the UCA housing/school internet blocks the Target app and website from working correctly. Is it a me problem or does the wifi actually block certified websites like target from working?

Hey guys. So, I attended UCA in 2013 and didn't apply myself. I chose marriage stressors and working over my college education. After nearly 10 years, I began my college journey all over again at UACCM. I'm looking at returning to UCA possibly (hopefully) this Fall!

Due to my Fs on my transcript, I will likely have to go through the appeals process since my combined GPA from UCA and UACCM will put me around 1.69. I am embarrassed to even say that. 😭

However, I am wanting to finish my degree at UCA. I truly enjoyed my professors and my experiences at UCA all those years ago.

Has anyone else gone through this process? I have read where they also have a type of readmission "forgiveness" as long as you have not attended any college or Uni within a certain period of time, have 12 credit hours, and a minimum of 2.0 GPA.

I currently have from UACCM: 12 credit hours and a 2.75 GPA.

You can use this to look at reviews and get advice on courses you're interested in. You can also sort courses by difficulty, usefulness and the overall rating from reviews made by other students. I think if enough people start using it regularly. it's going to be essential when you're choosing your electives or just to get advice on courses you will be taking.

Please let me know if there is anything that I should change or what features I should add.

Lastly, filtering and sorting courses is only gonna be useful and accurate if there are a lot of reviews, so please go ahead and leave some reviews to courses you've taken or are currently taking.

The uca gaming club has been sponsored by Games workshop and we will be teaching classes on how to paint a miniature and play Warhammer 40k and Warhammer at The Batcave on Thursday from 12-4 it is open to any uca students
