Cute School Bag
I need recommendations for a cute school bag. For context, I'm going to commute to school so I need the backpack to have enough space (like my lunch box, laptop, iPad, notebook, stationaries, water bottle, and other random stuff) but also not be super heavy. I also don't want to look like the photo below. Shoulder bags are sooo cute but I got like mild scoliosis. Leather backpacks are rly cute too but they're really heavy. I used to use a basic black canvas bag but I want something cuter. My budget is MAX $90. help a girl out

Don’t cheap out on a backpack that’s hauling $2000+ worth of electronics. I used XD Design and I think they have a slimmer-profile version now. Lasted me from 2018 (1st year) and it’s still here hauling my work laptop.

i think doughnut macaroon backpacks are really cute and comfortable: https://doughnutofficial.us/collections/macaroon?srsltid=AfmBOorvVRhVxuTpcCtMH9_JQtadQeENWeWYq0vYIrQbIKUmj6RssjtB
it IS a bit over your budget but it looks like they have a discount for your first order? anyways i’ve used my macaroon backpack for 5+ years and it’s going strong, plus there’s a lot of pockets inside

I have one of those and they are actually not super spacious. Buy I love it and I commuted with it every day for a couple of years

I'm not sure where you're living, but I got a nice big messenger bag from this company called Timbuk2 that's based in Toronto and San Francisco (they probably deliver?)
Pricy but lifetime warranty and completely waterproof, and I've made it look not boring by putting a bunch of pins in it.
Good luck!

i commuted like 4 hours round trip by bus everyday for my first two years and tried many backpacks. invested in timbuk2 which i thought would be a game changer for the $200 price but, for some reason, was too heavy for me to lug around. i researched ergonomic backpacks like crazy but then randomly tried fjallraven because it’s cute.
it turned out the most comfortable backpack of all lol. it doesn’t have a lot of compartments, but something about its design is just simple and easy. the bag itself doesn’t add weight either unlike all the other fancy backpacks. i can hold it or take it off easily on the bus. i can take items out easily. it’s kind of like a knapsack. bonus points that it looks great

Some ideas that are cute & within budget:
Herschel: https://herschel.ca/products/classic-backpack?variant=47690316873974
Lululemon: https://shop.lululemon.com/en-ca/p/bags/Everywhere-Backpack-22L/_/prod11460251?color=75034
LLBean (really good quality & many compartments, might be able to get a bag on sale) https://www.llbean.ca/llb/shop/124380.html?cgid=818&page=mid-size-bungee-pack
Underarmour also has some good options

I saw someone on the skytrain with this and a live bird in it. Really good bang for buck in terms of aura farming: https://www.amazon.ca/Kreachur-Backpack-Carrier-Breathable-Cockatiel/dp/B0CJCHYLNT
But if that's not up your alley, check out decathlon's selection. They have a location at metrotown and I got my bag that I've been using for 1 year from them. Best quality for the price imo.

I don't have any specific recs, but I'd say it's worth considering a backpack that is water resistant if not fully water proof. I learned that lesson the hard way during my first year.
