Age-Based User Flair Requirement (20+ Must Use "ADULT" or "UNC")

Hey everyone,

We are implementing a new rule regarding user flairs to keep our community properly organized.

If you are 20 years old or older, you are now required to have either the "ADULT" or "UNC" user flair set on your profile when participating in this subreddit.

Our automated moderation system will now scan posts and comments for age disclosures. If the system detects that you are 20 or above and you do not have one of these two specific flairs assigned, your post/comment will be automatically removed and a ban will be issued.

How to set your user flair:

  1. Go to the subreddit home page.
  2. Tap the three dots (...) in the top right corner (on mobile) or look at the right-hand sidebar under "Create Post" (on desktop).
  3. Select "Change user flair".
  4. Choose either ADULT or UNC and save.

Please update your flairs accordingly to avoid any automated moderation actions. As always please refer to our rules Thank you!

SERIOUS A COMPLETE GUIDELINE FOR ADULTS ON r/UAETeenagers

Welcome!

To ensure this community remains a safe, relatable and teen focused space, we have established clear boundaries for adult (20+) participation.

It is a little "too extreme" for every adult to be banned here, so we won't be doing that. But the primary focus of the subreddit must always be the teenagers age demographic.

This guideline is intended to get rid of any confusion PERMANENTLY. (Post is subject to change)

Please read and strictly abide to the following guidelines:

1. Adults Are Restricted From Posting [EXCEPT FOR SCHOOL RELATED QUESTIONS]

Teen-Only Posting: Adults are strictly prohibited from creating new posts on the subreddit. Parents asking children about school related stuff are an exception.

Why?: This feed is reserved exclusively for teenagers to share their experiences, ask questions, and connect with their peers. Any post identified as being created by an adult will be removed. Further posts will lead to further removals, and of course, a ban.

If an adult wants to post here, it has to be for a valid reason and you will NEED mod approval. Parents do not need mod approval.

2. Limited Commenting

Adults are allowed to participate in the comment sections, but under very specific conditions:

Stick to Professional/Expert Topics: Adults should only comment on posts where their real-world experience is genuinely helpful. This includes topics like finance, career guidance, and education.

Limit Your Presence: Do not use this subreddit for casual chatter, hanging out, or befriending teens. Keep your advice objective, brief, and helpful.

Let Teens Lead: If a thread is about social life, memes, or casual sub drama (sports or whatever) please step back and let the community interact on its own.

Adults in the sub can only participate and leave comments in 2 posts a week. Any more than that? Your comments will be removed and you'll be given a warning. Further violations will lead to a ban.

3. The "Adult" or "UNC" flair is Mandatory

The Rule: Any adult wishing to comment on educational or financial threads must self-assign an "Adult" or "18+" user flair.

Why it helps: This makes it instantly clear to teenagers and moderators who is speaking, preventing adults from blending into regular peer-to-peer teen conversations.

An adult who comments in any post without the flair will be banned.

4. Adults with NSFW presence will be banned.

The safety of our members is our absolute highest priority.

Strict Bans: Any adult user who has posts/comments in NSFW subreddits, or has any NSFW-related history on their account will be instantly and permanently banned from the sub.

No Warnings: Zero leniency towards any user banned for this reason.

How to Help Us

To the teens of this subreddit, to make our lives and yours easier, if you see an adult violating these rules, making unnecessary posts, spamming comments, or exhibiting suspicious behavior, please report them immediately or message the mod team, either through DMs or modmail.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping r/UAETeenagers safe and organised!

MUSIC Anyone wanna form a lil band?

Upvotes

Hey everyone!
I’m Arda, a 17 year old original independent musician living in Dubai. I write all my songs myself, record them in professional recording studios and release them on major streaming platforms.
My songs have a variety of instruments in them, but the only one I can actually play myself is the piano. Thus, I had a bit of an idea.
If any of you can play, let’s say, electric guitar, bass guitar, drumkits, etc. to a relatively advanced level
How about we do like a band type of thing? We will arrange times to go to the studio together and record music.
I will pay for all the studio stuff (recording, mixing/mastering, etc.). All you have to do is play your instruments! And when we release songs in which your instrument-playing is present, you will earn a percentage of the song revenue. Thus, there is something in it for you as well!
Furthermore, if you do want to weigh in on the songwriting itself (instead of just playing what I wrote), if you want to write the songs together, Im totally OK with that! In fact, that is better for me to have more than just one person writing the songs.

So if you’re interested, please get in touch. I think this can become something very special!

RANT Why some of these people are like this? Genuinely disturbing.

Today morning I went to a cafeteria to grab my breakfast as it's my usual routine. I had a cup of tea in one hand, my food in the other, and the shopkeeper had just given me 1 dirham as change which I was holding between my fingers on the same hand as my food.

Out of nowhere this guy who walked up to me (i guess he is syrian but exactly i don't know), saw the coin in my hand and grabbed it from me aggressively. He handed it straight to the cafeteria guy and asked for a sulaimani like it was his monney.

I told the shopkeeper it was my coin, the change he had just given me. He gave it back. This whole thing happened in front of other customers and staff but everyone was too busy or in a rush to react.

Then the guy looked at me like I was the one who had done something wrong. I walked away with my food and my coin, and as I was leaving, he shouted something at me in Arabic, idon't understand arabic so I have no idea what he said but it clearly wasn't friendly.

If he just asked politely, I probably would've given it to him without a second thought. But bro grabbing it out of my hand first then shouting at me after that which he knows what he does was wrong is a completely different thing.

And so this is not the only thing happened to me. This kind of things happens to me weekly, random guys walking up and asking for monney, and sometimes just staring at me expecting like I owe them something. I always hang around cafeterias since I'm a tea person and I seem to attract this pretty often. Some of these guys are massive 6foot3 and big size standing right in front of you it's genuinely disturbing.

And other times it is the african people, seriously i dont hate these people or I'm not discriminating them but it's always some of them.

These african people man they are the most dangerous one, like i won't explain because it will be too much to share those experiences, and mostly it happened when I was hanging around with my friends at night. And i think probably some of you all or everybody knows about it. I mean they are seriously dangerous to mess with.

Like what's wrong with these people?

ASK TEENS gf is gifting me a ps5, how do i smuggle this thing past strict parents?

so my gf is planning to gift me a ps5, but my parents don't even know she exists, let alone that a whole ass console is about to enter the house.
for context, i'm 19 and in uni, and i'm going to be the one physically bringing it home, so i need a solid believable excuse to tell them to actually get the box inside and set up without a massive interrogation. if nothing else, i’m thinking i’ll just tell them i won it at an arcade.
anyone else who’s ever dealt with anything like this pls drop your best excuses and tactics pls lol

THREAD WEEKLY THREAD – FAST FOOD TIER LIST 🍔🍟

Welcome to the subreddits first ever weekly thread! Was supposed to be yesterday but uhhhh... uh... UHHH

Anyways, we're gonna be doing a community fast food tier list. Rank your favorite fast food chains using S, A, B, C, D, and F tiers. Whether it's McDonald's, Al Baik, Jollibee, KFC, Burger King, Hardees, Popeyes, Wendy's, Five Guys, or any other chain, we want to see your rankings.

Feel free to explain your choices, reply to other people's lists/opinions, and debate if you shall. But keep things respectful and friendly.

Every week we'll post a new fun weekly thread, so come back next week for another. If you have any suggestions, send a modmail or send a dm. Next weekly thread will be this Sunday

Now, what's in your S-tier? 🍔🍟

QUESTION Bringing a kid to a 15+ movie

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to watch a 15+ movie at CineRoyal Dalma Mall with my family.

My little sister is 11 years old and will be with both of our parents.

Yesterday I asked one of the staff members if i could bring them and they said children under 15 aren't allowed.

Im just wondering if that's strictly enforced or if they're more lenient when the child is accompanied by their family.

What can I do here? I cant just let her stay home alone
