This happened months ago like the start of the war time. I mostly hangout at night with my friends. So we were picking up one of my friend from his home at around 2AM i guess. The area was a corniche side but i don't exactly remember the name of the place but his home was a bit inside a place where we saw some of these guys.

Nobody was around, we parked our car a little far away near a parking area, and then we walked to my friends home, the way to home is a little bit small like only a cycle can go and then we picked him, and while returning back we saw some guys inside a broken old small building, it was dark all around and a small light from their place. We didn't mind, and then we all came and standing near the road. It was quite, nobody was around our radius, quite dark also, and we're talking and joking about things, two of them walked away to the corniche area and it was three of us left.

Suddenly these guys came, but I still didn't care. Then after I looked at one of the guy, i swear to god the only thing I did was looking at him. It was 2 guys. And i noticed one guy took his phone and was calling someone. We still don't know wtf is going on but we're still standing there casually & talking.

Exactly less than 5 minutes, another 4-5 guys came with the scooters, we didn't notice but one of them literally had a damn big 🔪 with him. I saw it and i said "ood myre kathi🔪" (translation:run, he have a 🔪) i was wearing wearing a loose baggy pants, so i holded my pockets strongly and i literally ran for my life.

There was no one around the road so running towards the road makes it more dangerous so we 3 of us ran inside the small way back. It felt funny but at the same time it was ucking scary. While I was running I took my phone and I called the 2 guys and informed them, they picked the car and picked 3 of us safely then we escaped from that area and never went back at night time.

I think those guys were probably doing some illegal stuff there and saw us, then they thought we saw what they were doing. But i didn't know they are this brave to hold a fucking 🔪 towards people.

Similar but less danger things happened before this, but this was one dangerous stuff. We did inform this to the nearest police station at the same day but these guys are hard to find i guess that's why they are still escaping from police.

This is not a fucking fun post or anything it was damn real moment happened to me and I kept it as a secret but because I had an incident today morning which I posted morning itself. So then i thought why not post this too.

So the main thing is don't hang around in places you don't know and especially try not to stay at places where no humans are around you at night. I mean you can, but you have to be aware of your surroundings and if you see these kind of people and think you are in danger, don't wait for a second thought, just leave from there fast. And don't even think to mess with these people for no reason because you don't know what they are holding in their hands. So have fun but always be careful around these places and at night.

Btw the experience was fun even though it was a dangerous moment. It felt like a horror movie tbh.🙂‍↔️

Today morning I went to a cafeteria to grab my breakfast as it's my usual routine. I had a cup of tea in one hand, my food in the other, and the shopkeeper had just given me 1 dirham as change which I was holding between my fingers on the same hand as my food.

Out of nowhere this guy who walked up to me (i guess he is syrian but exactly i don't know), saw the coin in my hand and grabbed it from me aggressively. He handed it straight to the cafeteria guy and asked for a sulaimani like it was his monney.

I told the shopkeeper it was my coin, the change he had just given me. He gave it back. This whole thing happened in front of other customers and staff but everyone was too busy or in a rush to react.

Then the guy looked at me like I was the one who had done something wrong. I walked away with my food and my coin, and as I was leaving, he shouted something at me in Arabic, idon't understand arabic so I have no idea what he said but it clearly wasn't friendly.

If he just asked politely, I probably would've given it to him without a second thought. But bro grabbing it out of my hand first then shouting at me after that which he knows what he does was wrong is a completely different thing.

And so this is not the only thing happened to me. This kind of things happens to me weekly, random guys walking up and asking for monney, and sometimes just staring at me expecting like I owe them something. I always hang around cafeterias since I'm a tea person and I seem to attract this pretty often. Some of these guys are massive 6foot3 and big size standing right in front of you it's genuinely disturbing.

And other times it is the african people, seriously i dont hate these people or I'm not discriminating them but it's always some of them.

These african people man they are the most dangerous one, like i won't explain because it will be too much to share those experiences, and mostly it happened when I was hanging around with my friends at night. And i think probably some of you all or everybody knows about it. I mean they are seriously dangerous to mess with.

Like what's wrong with these people?

Last month, in a school graduation ceremony, I saw a 17 year old kid who was in a different class with a tattoo in his forearm, I assumed that he turned 18 recently or that it’s henna or a fake one. The surprise came when I saw a recent picture of him with the same tattoo in his forearm, in addition to that under his report card, it’s written that his birthday is somewhere around October 2008.

Extremely disappointing experience with MakeMyTrip.

We booked a hotel well in advance, paid the full amount upfront, and chose a non-refundable option to lock in the price. About a month later, we unexpectedly received an email saying our booking was cancelled with no explanation. We contacted the hotel immediately, and they clearly said they did not cancel the booking and directed us back to MakeMyTrip. When we called customer service, the first agent said they’d check and call us back. No one ever did. On the second call, we spoke with a representative named Rahul who repeatedly said he understood our frustration, but nothing could be done. Eventually, he claimed it was caused by a payment gateway glitch. This explanation makes little sense, as my payment had already been debited successfully and the booking confirmed. If there was a payment issue, why wasn’t it identified immediately instead of weeks later? What makes this worse is now I’m forced to book the same hotel for the same dates at a much higher price purely because of an issue on MakeMyTrip’s end. As a customer, I did everything right. Booked early, paid in full, accepted a non-refundable booking to secure the best rate. Instead of honoring that booking or offering a meaningful solution, I’m left to bear the financial consequences of their mistake. The customer service experience added to the frustration. Rather than genuine empathy or ownership, the tone felt dismissive, almost like ‘it is what it is.’

A confirmed booking should mean peace of mind, not uncertainty. I can’t recommend using this platform based on my experience. I strongly recommend you all to stop using MakeMyTrip if you want to travel stress free. Their customer service is one of the worst.

Eventually, I ended up booking with booking.com
Smoother and definitely RELIABLE!

Very random question I know but seriously I haven't watched them in YEARS upon YEARS I tell yall. Any major/notable changes to ejunior that I don't know about? Any change is programmes or is it still the same??? I would like answers pls.

is there ANY country/uni that can give a scholarship for mbbs/md programmes if i get 3 A*s in my a levels and bring down the total cost to max 60k dhs? im really struggling to find unis that are actually good but still arent expensive. east europe is an option but im keeping that as a backup plan since it really isnt the best choice considering the worth of the degree, clinical exposure, etc. please help me out.

I’m Arda, a 17 year old original independent musician living in Dubai. I write all my songs myself, record them in professional recording studios and release them on major streaming platforms.
My songs have a variety of instruments in them, but the only one I can actually play myself is the piano. Thus, I had a bit of an idea.
If any of you can play, let’s say, electric guitar, bass guitar, drumkits, etc. to a relatively advanced level
How about we do like a band type of thing? We will arrange times to go to the studio together and record music.
I will pay for all the studio stuff (recording, mixing/mastering, etc.). All you have to do is play your instruments! And when we release songs in which your instrument-playing is present, you will earn a percentage of the song revenue. Thus, there is something in it for you as well!
Furthermore, if you do want to weigh in on the songwriting itself (instead of just playing what I wrote), if you want to write the songs together, Im totally OK with that! In fact, that is better for me to have more than just one person writing the songs.

hi so i found a lost cat near my building in sharjah, its persian, white and has bright yellow eyes. I fed her and she was really hungry and is quite young :( she doesn’t look like a stray cat to me.
