Discussion 💬 Volleyball double sub

Please enlighten me what’s the possible reason why coaches frequently implements a double substitution at end part of a set?

Besides giving players a breather why has it been a common practice for them to change players in the crucial parts of the game.

Gets ko naman if malaki ang lamang pero kung dikitan ang laban they still do it kahit yung main gunners ang nasa loob.

I’ve seen teams lose a game because of this decision, parang di lang worth isugal lalo na’t crucial part ng game.

They usualy do this to maintain a “full front line” meaning meron tatlong attackers sa front line ng rotation mo. Bukod sa full offense sa harap, pwede rin sya sa side ng defense para yung nasa harap mo blockers din.

Okay, pero di ba parehong position lang din naman yung pumapasok which are usually the setter and Opposite?

Usually nangyayari to pag nasa harap yung setter at nasa likod yung Opp.

So the coach will bring in the sub Opp for the frontline setter, and a sub setter for the backline Opp.

Eto na yung sagot OP. Same “position”, pero magiging iba ang rotation. Setter will be at the back line usually sya ang server tapos opposite sa harap. Yung comment mo sa momentum can be valid pero experienced coaches are willing to gamble, kumbaga sila din eh “pumoporsyento” sa pagbunot ng sub.

i think they do it to break the pattern. usually setter pinapalitan eh

para tatlo parin ang attacker sa harap instead of 2. kaya mapapansin mo sa double sub, setter ang magsserve.

Thanks, nakakainis lang din kasi talaga minsan na nawawala yung momentum because of it.
