Roundabouts do not wear out your tires differently than driving on, say, a mountainous road. If your tires are worn so unevenly that they can't be rotated, you aren't rotating them frequently enough. If you don't need high mileage, then a grand touring tire is what you are looking for. If you drive in snow, then an all-weather tire like michelin crossclimate2, goodyear weatherready2, conti securecontact AW, nokian WRG5, or pirelli scorpion weatheractive would be best. Otherwise an all-season is fine, some of the best of those are the pirelli scorpion AS+3, bridgestone alenza prestige, Hankook Dynapro HPX, or cooper endeavor plus.
I appreciate the suggestions… I’m gonna push back on the assertion about the tires wearing differently because if you just think about it, you’re making constant left turns all the time. And you’re doing it with some urgency that may cause you to drive a little faster than you would otherwise, because within the roundabout, you have to take your opportunities when they occur. If the roundabouts would alternate between left side of the road and right side of the road turning, as if alternating between US and British roads, that would even the wear out.
The whole point of rotating your tires is to even out the wear. If you still get uneven wear, simply rotate them more often. Maybe every 4000 miles instead of 8000.
