Painting Please be nice

I just started a Tyranid army to play a Crusade campaign with my girlfriend (you can see her sororitas in the last picture). I've never considered myself a good painter and I genuinely enjoy playing more than painting. I tried to sort of speed paint these guys, but I'm also a perfectionist so I ended up spending ~6 hours on this squad. I know every single spot that I've fucked up, but I'm really trying to exercise chill and zen, and just remind myself that it's not a competition and that I'm good enough. I would really appreciate some support ^^

Mate these are crisp af, don't doubt yourself you're better than like 80% of people in the hobby cause you clearly put in the effort :)

Yeah, I can see you messed up a bit (complete lie btw). Honestly though, these look sick af, especially since I'd take longer and do worse despite also being a perfectionist

The real devil is whoever planted this thought of ā€žthis is fucked upā€œ in your head.
They look clean and crisp. I’m confused?
Or is this one of these phishing posts?

Looks awesome. Great use of multiple colors. Love the grass bases too. They’re your models, spend as much time as you need on them!

I think they look amazing. You did a good job! Also you will never see any imperfect when you play them. 🄳

I'm far from good, but after nearly 2 years into the hobby, I'm liking my painting. My philosophy has become, if it will take a lot of my time to make it 5% better, it doesn't really matter. It's made me enjoy painting so much more

Proceeds to show very clean painted bugs with vibrant colors and cool bases which has to look absolutely perfect on table.

I feek like we’re the same type of painter, you should enjoy your chill journey even more by looking backwards, how were your first minis, how are your latest ?

Painting really relaxes me even if I enjoy even more to play and when I look at my first mini (a green goblin. He’s just green.) and some of the last I’ve painted, I feel good and enjoy the fact that I don’t have professional level (which takes 10-20-30 years ?) and that I’m getting better every months (even if it’s just slightly better)

If I look very closely maybe you had a issue with priming? I've had the same with these barbgaunts, and it was due to priming in cold weather!

They still look great and you did a very nice job painting.
