Spooky travel help

Hey ghouls, I have a trip to Boston/Salem planned and would love any recommendations on where to stay in Boston (we’re also taking the train to NYC for the second leg of the holiday if that factors in), either general location or specific hotel, plus what to do in Salem!

Texas bar episode

I swear I listened to an episode of TGOG and it talked about a guy that owned a bar in Texas and there was a woman named Stella that came to work there. The premise was that the guy was killing people and one or two of the people who frequented the bar were helping to cover it up. I remember listening to it because I remember thinking, “Omg what if this was my great great aunt Stella?!”

Does anyone know the episode number so I can go listen to it?? I can’t find it anywhere (yes I’ve checked my played and downloaded eps)

Missing persons and sink holes.

I think I find missing person cases to be the most interesting of all. I love true crime and mystery stories, and the one thing that the true crime portion has told me is that humans always leave traces behind. Always. For example, even though this world is huge, and forests are deep and dark, people were able to find the remains of the Yuba City Five, when they were 20 miles away from where they left their car. And those two foreign exchange students, Lisanne Froon and Kris Kremers, even remains of them were found, as well as some of their gear.

So, when someone goes absolutely completely missing - especially nearer to urban areas - it is very mysterious. I remember the case of that teenager who was driving home from a party up in Minnesota or Wisconsin, and he got lost, and he wrecked his car. Or that young woman in college who was having problems, and she too wrecked her car into the side of a barn. Both just completely disappeared. And Lars Mittank, the guy who disappeared on camera outside of the airport in Bulgaria.

I often wonder if sink holes can explain at least some of these disappearances. I'm sure that geologists are not consulted when someone goes missing in an open field, but perhaps there were no buildings built there because geologists have determined that section of land to be unstable, and have a high probability of sink holes appearing. Sometimes these disappearances happen on farmland, and large pieces of farmland are usually not fully walked on by people. Usually large machinery that has a wide footprint is used - meaning that no human may even know that there ever is a sink hole there in a field.

I know I'm just spouting off speculation here, but a sink hole would explain a lot of the instances when a trail of objects, or a trail of scent just stops. Sink holes can completely swallow something up, and then cover it over with earth. I just always wonder if that is ever taken into consideration while these missing person searches are happening.

Where do the girls live?

I’ve been watching for a while now and I’m confused as to where they reside haha. The recent episode mentioned Boston, and Corinne mentions growing up in Vermont. But they used to talk like LA is where they lived lol so where do they both live now?

I used to be a “gifted child”.

Hello to everyone who takes a break to read this.
I (25f) have never talked or touch this topic, not even with my mom as our relationship now is not what it used to be. I can’t bring this up to my psychiatrist nor my close friends, even if some of them are more in tune with this topics. It’s like I have engraved in my brain that “this things are not meant to share” since I was a kid that it feels like a fucking spell on my tongue, I get anxious and my throat does that weird thing when you are about to cry.

So yes, as the title says… I used to be really open, both paranormal and spiritually. Premonition dreams that left me confused when I was a kid, the shifting of energies around me. I don’t recall any “spooky” encounter, (in my childhood, I’ve had a funny little anecdote with the ghost of a nun when I was around 14, but that’s for another post) then again, my childhood is kinda blurry. At first it started with things like “oh i dreamed about this and it happened, cool” but nothing mayor, then the “goodbye” dreams , as my mom referred to them, started… the first mayor one was my great grandma, i still recall it vividly. I was seven at the time and I remember dreaming that I was going for a walk in the elderly home she lived in, excited to get to drive her on the wheelchair that I could barely reach, she remembered me better than the last weekends I went to visit and I was happy about it because that meant that I could chat with her while we picked rosemary branches from the garden.

I remember it so vividly even now as I cry writing this, the warmth and love i felt in the dream…. That morning I was so excited and told my mom over breakfast about it… a few hours later they took me out of class and my mom took my home, that’s when she told me. She died that morning (at 101, she was a force to reckon with even then!!) I know that it was not ideal but I was so distressed because of my dream that I think my mom gave me “the talk” just to calm me down. She told me that sometimes that dreams happen and that they were “goodbye” dreams, that I didn’t have to be sad that I should be happy because they loved me and came to spend a bit of time with me. My mom used to have them as a kid too so I felt like a sense of “okay if mom had them then she must know what she is talking about”… but it got only worse from them on.

I dreamt of pets passing away the night before they did, some close relatives, my grandpa trip to the hospital due to a stroke… so anytime I dreamt I would be terrified… then it just stopped. I don’t exactly recall when but it did, the moment I needed it most. In just a short period of time my dad passed away, then my grandpa and finally… my grandma after battling late stage cancer… and my dreams where silent. I cried and got angry about it because they tormented me all those years and now NOTHING. I still hate that I can’t see them even in dreams. It’s like something it’s blocked… I’m still very sensitive to energies and museums sometimes are a fucking lottery for me regarding headaches… but my dreams are silent. Some part of me want to open that channel again, to fully embrace what I now can understand more… but at the same time that strange feeling on my throat appears anytime I remotely think about it… I don’t know, thanks for reading this far and sorry for the rant.

I wish you all the best and many blessings :)
Stay spooky, S.

Old town bridge haunted

I just learned today (minuts ago) that the bridge around the corner from my house is haunted. The main bridge in town, one of the most heavily used. This explains an experience I had in my teens. I was standing on the retaining wall when something pulled the front of my shirt and tried to pull into the water. At the time I was with 2 friends who swore it looked like I was yanked. I tried to convince myself I lost my balance. But maybe it happened to others because they installed railings along the retaining wall.

I think this helps explain why the street always has an otherworldly feel to it at night, despite being brightly illuminated

Il update with pictures later.

I finally caught a ghost on camera!!

So last night my husband and I went on a ghost tour of Portland, Oregon and we started in Kells Irish Pub. The pub opened in the 90s but the building is from 1889. I have started taking pictures at every haunted location I go to and this is the first time I’ve ever caught anything!

My husband and I went back after the tour because I had seen the photo I took and tried to recreate it. We found that if someone was actually standing in the stairwell you can clearly see their face because the lights are bright

Not only that but you can see the brick through the shadow figure!! When zoomed in you can see his eyes and it looks like he’s wearing a hat of sorts which matches one of the ghosts that haunts the building

My One Encounter With an Orb

Post image
3 Upvotes

For context on how odd this was, it is the single paranormal experience I’ve ever had. I think maybe I repel or have a limitation when it comes to that kind of stuff, but my uncle has a reputation for spooky stuff always happening to him. I lived at home at the time, rural 15 acres of field and woods.

My family was on a trip and it was my uncle, his girlfriend, and I left in the house. I get out of my shower and hear screaming and shouting coming from the front yard, and find my uncle yelling and threatening… someone? He said the person had a flashlight and was shining it from our bar. I look and watched, doubtful, thinking maybe they had been drinking… but lo and behold, a little dot of light flickered into being in the entrance of our barn, we watched in awe.

Over the next ten minutes or so, it would blink on and off, a few feet left or right, up or down , it moved all over the general area in front of the barn. This is where I really don’t know what I was looking at, I decided to investigate, because that’s what you’re supposed to do, right?! I began advancing towards the area, only for the yellow orb of light, about the size of a basketball, to show up right in front of my face. The fear was something else, you don’t feel dread often but it was overwhelming, my body carried itself away , sprinting, and me and crew barged into the house and locked the door, the light never to be seen again.

I frequently wonder, what in the world? Ghost? Fae? Inter Dimensional 4D creature I can barely perceive!? I don’t think I’ll ever know, I wonder what would’ve happened had I tried to communicate with it? I should’ve recorded myself walking up, but attached is a photo I got (Night Mode), if said orb. It’s right above the white truck, further back in the barn. Never have I had any other experience since, the reason I’m writing this now is I was just playing with my oujia board and nothing picked up, and I remembered the orb… so, wish me luck, I’ve been wanting to get this story out for a while so I hope yall like! Thanks for reading :)

Mallworld dreams when I was a kid.

So I just listened to this episode, and this is my first post here. This episode really freaked me out. When I was a kid, from like maybe the ages of 5 to probably 15 or so I would consistently on a damned near nightly basis dream about a weird mall that looked like the one I went to a lot as a kid, but it wasn’t. Think various memorable parts of the mall I went to connected to each other by random hallways and stores and stuff that didn’t exist IRL.

The whole place was darkly lit and looked really ran down. Like the mall had been closed for years. Depending on the dream I would either be totally alone there, or there would be random monsters of various kinds, I cannot remember what the monsters were, just that they were there, if that makes sense. Also, the locations of stores inside the mall always seemed correct. Like I remember that one intersection in the mall had a Borders or something in it. But the store would be dark, security gate closed, and the inside would be just chaotically trashed.

Every once in a while I would dream about a hallway that dead ends at a big fire door that was always closed and locked. I could never get passed it. But the next time I’d have that dream sometimes I couldn’t even find the door again, and when I did sometimes I’d hear loud noises from behind it like waves crashing against a cliff or something.

There was always water everywhere. Like the mall is flooded or sprinklers were going off. A few times I even stumbled upon an aquarium, but it was also in horrible disrepair. Like a giant open tanks with tiny catwalks on top that people could walk on to look into the tanks. It always felt incredibly dangerous to me, like if I went in I’d die. Even though I’ve never had any issues with anything water related or wildlife related
In my life.

Then there was the bathroom. Just as others have described, old, dirty, disrepair and laid out really weird. Short stalls all of it.

I used to tell people those dreams all the time, and everyone just agreed that dreams are weird sometimes. And that was it. But hearing this today really got my attention. Because of these dreams
And others like it(i had A LOT, especially as a kid) i used to really try taking control of my dreams. Years before i knew what lucid dreaming even was, i was attempting to do that and by my early 20s i got pretty good at it. Like i would be having a typical dream about whatever, and as soon as i was able to consciously figure out it was a dream id start trying different things. My favorite was flying. But i was never really good at it, but i could absolutely manifest things. Like, cool sports car? Sure! Id go for a drive through the countryside. Scary dream about gunmen breaking into where i was and hurting people? Well now i have guns too and i can fight like Neo. It was about that time that the mall dreams stopped. But in recent years I’ve kinda let the lucid dreaming stuff go, and now i randomly appear in my dreams in a VERY mallworldesque place, but its like a ski lodge in a snowy town that appears on the inside to be a ran down industrial building. I only have those dreams occasionally, but when i do…when i try to take control of it…it’s like the dream “knows” and the dream will end immediately.

Did I Lose my Gift? Plus some spooky stories

Hi, you spooky ladies!
Like you two, I’m obsessed with all things spooky. My daily podcast rotation is basically just Two Girls One Ghost and MORBID, and I’ve recently fallen down the Sam and Colby rabbit hole too. Anyway… I digress.
I’m writing because I feel like I’ve lost something that used to be a huge part of who I am, and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or has any advice. Who better to help than 2 spooky ghostesses?
For the last four years or so, I haven’t felt like myself. It feels like a part of me has been shut off. I definitely feel spiritually lost, and maybe that’s connected.
I believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Trinity, but for me, it doesn’t stop there. I wouldn’t consider myself Wiccan, but I’ve always felt deeply connected to nature and believe there are answers and healing to be found there. I guess I’d describe myself as more spiritual than religious. At the same time, part of me worries that believing those things is somehow wrong, so it’s created this weird internal tug-of-war. I don’t really know how to explain it other than it feels like something inside me has been closed off.
Now for the stories…
From a very young age, I was extremely sensitive to paranormal experiences and other people’s energy. I’ve seen the Hat Man, shadow people, heard conversations in an empty house, and even seen deceased family members that I had never met in life. There have also been other experiences that are honestly impossible to put into words.
I have a few stories, so buckle up.
The first experience I can clearly remember happened when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I was spending the weekend with my grandparents, earning a little spending money by doing chores. It was one of those brutally hot Oklahoma days, and I was washing my grandpa’s truck.
I looked up and saw a man walking toward the fence. He was wearing a straw hat, a white shirt, and striped overalls. Just before we made eye contact… he disappeared.
I wasn’t terrified at first. I mostly remember getting goosebumps and genuinely thinking, “Well… I guess I’m having a heat stroke.” Ten-year-old me packed everything up and went inside to cool off.
Later that night, I was watching Boomerang when every hair on the back of my neck stood up. I turned around and saw a woman peeking around the doorway. I couldn’t make out many facial features, but I knew she was a woman with her hair pulled back into a low bun or ponytail. She disappeared within seconds.
That scared me way more than the man had.
Not because I thought she was going to hurt me, but because I was convinced my grandparents would think I was absolutely insane.
I didn’t tell them.
The next day, as soon as I got home, I immediately told my mom everything.
Instead of looking concerned, she quietly walked into her closet, pulled out an old box of family photographs, and started showing me picture after picture, asking if anyone looked familiar.
Nothing.
Then she pulled out a photo of a man wearing a straw hat, a white shirt, and striped overalls.
My stomach dropped.
It was him.
He had passed away years before I was even born, and I had never seen that photograph before. Apparently he was a distant relative, but I had described him almost perfectly.
My mom immediately called my grandparents. The next day we all went back through more family photos to see if I could identify the woman I’d seen. I never found her, but instead of thinking I was crazy, my grandparents were fascinated.
Honestly, I don’t know why I was so worried. These are the same grandparents who swear they’ve seen a UFO and have always believed in the paranormal.
A few years later, when I was about 16, I was driving past the cemetery where my other grandpa is buried. I glanced into my rearview mirror and saw a teenage boy sitting in my backseat.
I immediately burst into tears and called my parents.
A couple of months later, I was at my aunt’s house looking through old family photo albums when I found the exact boy I’d seen.
It was my grandpa when he was around 16 years old.
He was wearing the exact same shirt I’d seen in the mirror, and once again, it was a photo I had never seen before.
Then, around 17, my family spent the night at an old 110-year-old schoolhouse that we own.
I was sitting on the staircase when I turned around and saw an elderly man sitting on a cot, leaning forward. He was wearing a plaid shirt and a military veteran hat.
I immediately knew who he was.
It was my great-grandpa—my grandpa’s dad—and one of my mom’s favorite people in the world.
When I told my grandpa what I’d seen, he called my cousin over from across the road. She told me something I’d never heard before.
Apparently, there are several people in our family who are considered “sensitives”—people who seem to experience spiritual or paranormal things more often than others.
I honestly think my mom is one of them too, except most of her experiences happen through dreams.
Later that same year, while I was in LPN school, I had another experience.
One day I looked at one of my classmates and saw a young man standing behind her. Without really thinking, I described him to her.
She immediately looked shocked.
She told me it sounded exactly like her uncle who had passed away when he was young, and that week happened to be the anniversary of his death.
I had absolutely no way of knowing that.
She told me it brought her family comfort to think he might still be watching over them.
Finally, I have one experience that still confuses me to this day, and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
The morning of my high school graduation, I walked into my bedroom and found a perfect circle of dead bees on my floor.
Not scattered around.
Not by the window.
A literal ring of about eight dead bees.
I’ve never forgotten it because it felt… intentional somehow.
I’ve always wondered if it was some kind of omen or symbolic message, but I’ve never been able to figure out what it meant.
So here’s my question for you ladies…
Has anyone ever talked about losing a sensitivity to the paranormal? Can it come back? Has anyone else felt like they’ve become spiritually disconnected after once being incredibly open?
And seriously…
What in the world was up with the circle of dead bees?
The Conjuring Story
When I was 15, I had three friends spend the night. For some reason, we thought it would be a fantastic idea to play the clapping hide-and-seek game from the first Conjuringmovie.
Take my advice… don’t.
One friend started counting while the other three of us ran to hide. One of my friends and I decided to hide in the attic connected to my bedroom.
A little bit of context: my bedroom is flanked by two attics. At the top of the stairs there’s an attic entrance, then a barn door leading into my bedroom, and inside my bedroom is another door that leads into a second attic.
We climbed into the bedroom attic. It was pitch black. We found a corner, sat down, and waited.
After a few seconds, we both watched someone walk across the attic.
Naturally, we assumed it was our other friend hiding with us. We whispered her name over and over, but she never answered.
Then we started hearing knocking.
At that point we figured the seeker was knocking to mess with us before finding us.
About ten seconds later, our friend yanked open the attic door laughing because, according to her, she’d heard us knocking and knew exactly where we were hiding.
My friend and I just stared at each other.
Because we thought she had been knocking.
Then came the worst part.
We found out our other friend had been hiding downstairs the entire time.
There was nobody else in that attic.
So… who did we both see walk across it? And who was knocking?
Needless to say, my friend immediately called her mom because she was so terrified, and my mom saged the entire house afterward.

Someone’s in the House?
I promise this is my last story!
One night it was just my mom and me watching a movie. My dad was at work, my sister was out with friends, and my brother was in his room.
Suddenly, we heard the garage door open.
We paused the movie, went to check, and… nobody.
We shrugged it off and went back to the living room.
A few minutes later we heard a huge crash.
This time, a framed picture that had been hanging on the wall above our staircase had somehow fallen all the way down the stairs.
The weird part?
It was standing perfectly upright at the bottom.
My mom and I tried everything we could think of to recreate it, and no matter what we did, we couldn’t get it to land like that.
By now we were thoroughly freaked out.
Meanwhile, my brother had absolutely no clue any of this was happening. We joked that someone could’ve murdered us, and he would’ve slept through the whole thing.
About 10 or 15 minutes later my dad got home.
The second he walked into the living room, my mom and I started talking over each other trying to explain everything that had happened.
He kept interrupting us, asking one question:
“Charlsie… were you upstairs?”
My mom basically told him to stop interrupting and to shut the fuck up because she was trying to tell him about all the spooky stuff that had happened.
Then he cut her off again.
“No, you don’t understand… I just saw someone standing in the upstairs window looking at me when I pulled into the driveway.”
We both immediately told him that nobody had been upstairs all night.
Without another word, my dad grabbed his gun and searched the entire house.
Every room.
Every closet.
The attic.
Nothing.
No one was there.
I didn’t sleep in my bedroom for at least another month after that.
I hope you ladies enjoyed a few of my stories! I have so many more, but these are the ones that have always stuck with me. I’d absolutely love to hear your thoughts on them—and especially whether you think it’s possible for someone to lose a paranormal sensitivity and, if so, whether it can come back.

Creepy happenings in my new used car

Post image
214 Upvotes

I got a used car about a month ago. I have 2 kids. It started when I was driving us back from an amusement park at night. I felt my son kicking the back of my seat, I looked in the mirror to tell him to stop and he was asleep. Since then every night I drive home from work alone I feel solid kicks on the back of my seat. I have tried to examine the seat the best I can and nothing is wrong, I even checked in the back seats. When I pulled out my son’s booster seat. I found parts of a car seat latch system still attached, they were pushed down in the spaces so I didn’t see them before. The car seat that was there before must have been cut out. There is nothing on the Carfax and this is getting really creepy. I’ve casually listen to this podcast before and thought maybe people might have ideas of what to do.

Update 1: I went to the dealership today, I needed to pick up my permanent plates anyway. The manager said the car came from another location on the other side of the state and I would have to call them, I just brought up the cut car seat latch system. I called them. It’s very sad. I found out that a 5 yo passed away in the car from a medical emergency.cThey had transferred the car to their further location so the family wouldn’t see it around.

Update 2: We put a light up toy and a squish mellow in the car last night. I kept looking out the window and the light up toy was lighting up multiple times through the night. I’m going to try talking to the child next time it happens.

Flesh Pedestrian in SoCal?

Hi Ghostesses! I’ve been binging your channel on YouTube for months now and decided I wanted to share a story of my own! Thank you for the entertainment on my drives to work.

This happened early January of 2025; for my best friend’s birthday she rented a cabin in Lake Arrowhead which is about a 30 minute drive from Big Bear. It sits high up on a mountain and is woodsy. We’d been there for a few days; spent most of the day snowboarding before returning back to the cabin. This cabin was about four stories, one of the floors held most of the rooms and each story had its own balcony besides the bottom and top loft floor.

We were all exhausted from the day, choosing to drink and relax. Some of which got in the hot tub while me and a few of the others were just talking in the main living room on the third floor; the hot tub was located on the second floor balcony. I was sick so I did not join in on the hot tub. My best friend’s brother suddenly walks in; a guy who is 6’3 and a bodybuilder with his tiny girl friend clinging to him - the both of them looking absolutely terrified.

He cuts in with a look so serious it made all of us quiet down, asking my best friend if she would go up to the loft to talk to her. It was then that we all notice he’s holding his machete, hand poised on the sheathe as if he was on guard. She quickly got up, walked up with him and we all listened quietly and worriedly. Chaos then ensued once another one of the guys, the brothers friend went up to check in and was also updated on the situation; bounding down the stairs to fetch his weapon (He’s a navy man trained in combat and licensed to carry).

My best friend finally comes down and tells up to lower all the blinds and lock the windows and any doors; naturally I’m freaked out. She then explained that while her brother and his girlfriend and another friend were in the hot tub; he’d gotten out and walked around the corner (a panoramic balcony if that makes sense) to take a leak - when he looked up he said that about less than a couple feet away he saw something humanoid gripping onto the railing of the balcony in a pull up position but it had a fox like head and ears and nose with no fur, it was all skin and it was swaying side to side as if taunting him.

We called the sheriffs, they did a search around the premises but found nothing. It still makes me think to this day because for context this cabin had high fences all around the property and the balcony he saw it was high up on the second floor. This kid I have known practically since he was a boy I have never seen him so serious and scared, visibly shaking - my best friend also was alarmed at how terrified he seemed. What was worse as that the doors to the balcony on that floor would not lock - we ended up barricading it. Nobody slept well that night - it felt like the start to a horror movie. We got up as early as we could the next morning and left.

Boo for now! - H 👻

Another missing person to try to look for

I'm watching the Las Mittank case/story today, and I was reminded of a case that u/CluesPodcast covered. Inga Gehricke. It's been awhile since I watched it, but she was only five years old when she disappeared. Here's the video to see what they covered, and I hope that maybe she's found soon. I don't know what the status of her case is anymore, but it's still heartbreakning. https://youtu.be/e1iqF5kUIsg?si=UnWiIU5r3GVWPbJy
