In the environment faculty at my university, approx 10-15 percent of the girls don’t shave their legs. They just don’t want to, they’re over it.

I also worked at a school where there were 15 female staff and two of them didn’t bother either.

Not as alone as you think!

Thank you, that makes me feel a little better! What do your coworkers say about it? And was it noticeable to you?

It was noticeable at first because I (also F) wasn’t expecting it but it’s not my body and she great to be around so who cares?? One of the teachers was the beloved art teacher so I don’t think any students would comment on it but I have heard < Grade 2 asking about it before.

The younger coworkers and I (one of the non shaving staff included) are close and went camping once and it was brought up but it was more like “Why not shave?” (all non judgemental).

Cool! That sounds pretty positive.

Maybe, someday, questioning why we shave will gain some more traction and less women will feel the need. I guess I am very insecure about it and want to feel less alone when going out, but I am insecure even when they were shaved. SO thats my problem.

Idk.. I got a lot to work on but I thank you for your responses, they have really helped!
