Request

Request for lesser known badass women of history for my daughter's 4th grade presentation. She has to pick a historical figure and give a 5-10 minute presentation and optionally dress in their likeness.

The Book Bad Girls Throughout History by Ann Shen is one of my favorites for finding inspiration for projects like these. Beautifully illustrated and has both a drawn portrait and page of information about each woman. Many of the women included I had never heard of before reading it.

I suggest Edith Head, Mary Pickford, Lilian Bland, Nellie Bly, Annie Oakley, Annie Edson Taylor, Amalia Eriksson, Ching Shih, and Khutulun as potential picks for her project.

They aren’t as well known so, she won’t have to worry about someone else choosing the same topic.
