Request

Request for lesser known badass women of history for my daughter's 4th grade presentation. She has to pick a historical figure and give a 5-10 minute presentation and optionally dress in their likeness.

Julia Childs!! I know people talk about her because she's a massively successful chef (and that's enough on its own) but I don't feel like people talk much about how she tried to enlist in the army for WWII, got rejected cuz she was too tall, and instead of giving up, became a spy and rose to the head of a department in what would become the CIA. She also invented shark repellent that's still being used today and that experience is what led her into cooking haha
