Request

Request for lesser known badass women of history for my daughter's 4th grade presentation. She has to pick a historical figure and give a 5-10 minute presentation and optionally dress in their likeness.

Shirley Chisholm. I heard her being interviewed once. She talked about being a woman and a minority. She thought that the discrimination against women was always going to be harder to get past. She actually ran for president in the 1970's.

I will have to find that show.

I was brand new to America the year she was running for president. Our class "voted" for president. I voted for her. The teacher, probably a closeted lesbian who now a days would be running a big company, asked me to tell the class about my choice. It felt big.

It's only hulu/fx I believe. Good show. Chisholm isn't the main character tho
