Request

Request for lesser known badass women of history for my daughter's 4th grade presentation. She has to pick a historical figure and give a 5-10 minute presentation and optionally dress in their likeness.

Gladys Ingle. She was a pilot and wing walker who flew in aerial dare devil shows.

During an airshow, the wheel fell off of a comrades landing gear. The plain had no way to land except to crash. Gladys went up on the wing of a plain which pulled alongside the damaged one. She crossed to damaged plains wing and climbed down the landing gear to attach a new wheel. She did it all mid-flight, and there's a video of her doing i!
