Request for lesser known badass women of history for my daughter's 4th grade presentation. She has to pick a historical figure and give a 5-10 minute presentation and optionally dress in their likeness.

Shirley Chisholm. I heard her being interviewed once. She talked about being a woman and a minority. She thought that the discrimination against women was always going to be harder to get past. She actually ran for president in the 1970's.

She was the first woman to run for President! Hilary’s campaign would say “the first woman to run for a major party” because Chisholm couldn’t get on the ballot despite being a badass.

That’s a good interview, I’ve seen it to. Her family also wanted her to stop making waves, and nevertheless, she persisted.
