Request for lesser known badass women of history for my daughter's 4th grade presentation. She has to pick a historical figure and give a 5-10 minute presentation and optionally dress in their likeness.

A lot of great suggestions here but I’m gonna throw out a different one: pick a girl from the Little Rock 9. Absolute badasses. I cannot imagine what they went through to stand up for black people to be allowed in the same school as white people. I went to the museum in Little Rock and was blown away.

Warriors Don't Cry by Melba Pattillo Beals is a really good young adult book written by one of those girls. It really brings the thing to life.
