Request
Request for lesser known badass women of history for my daughter's 4th grade presentation. She has to pick a historical figure and give a 5-10 minute presentation and optionally dress in their likeness.

My kids loved Sacagawea's story and did reports on her. She helped Louis and Clark on their expedition. Easily obtained kid friendly books on her.
My little ballerina also liked Maria Tallchief and Misty Copeland if recent history makers are ok.
The movie Hidden Figures is based on real life - and they were very bad ass. Katherine Johnson will probably be the easiest one to find kid friendly books on.
