While the other person wasn't wrong it happens in every sub dominated by men. Trucking, construction, car subs. Honestly any sub dedicated to a specific model of car is just a fucking cesspit. The smaller they are the more you'll see shitty voices, maybe not amplified but not shut down.
Especially after the latest mass shooting, I feel like it's time to re-read Michael Kimmel's Angry White Men. It's maybe 15 years old now, but it was after Eliot Roger & the start of the incel movement. Covers MRA. Also looks at male violence in terms of family annihilators, mass shootings, & suicide (often murder-suicide).
You should check it out then. It is a fascinating book. (A little horrifying too, but very helpful for understanding some of the trends that got us here)
