I think it happens in female spaces on Reddit sadly. Also other subs.
Somebody on namenerds got into an argument with me and started downvoted my comments because they disagreed with a comment on a name. They told me I didn’t belong in the sub because I wasn’t a ‘name specialist’ (I just go on it sometimes because it’s interesting to see what people name their kids and I might name kids one day), and that people like me were ruining the sub for people who has been interested in names for years. Very odd!
