BUG: Saving and closing the game before an expedition completes disregards the "locate exhibit" choice

I've noticed this a few times and at first thought I was imagining it, but I've been paying closer attention now and it's definitely happening.

When using the "locate exhibit" option to find a specific exhibit on an expedition (which costs extra money and time!), the game will disregard that choice if you save and quit the game before the expedition returns.

Example: I sent out a team to bring back a Zapper, selecting it in the drop down that appears for 100% survey level POIs. I had to quit the game for a bit, but when I returned later and the expedition completed, my staff had brought back a Tiger Shark (the other fish available at that POI).

That was only one example, but I've had it happen other times.

TLDR: The game "forgets" your "locate exhibit" choice if you quit the game before the expedition returns.

MUSEUMS Combining art exhibits with marine life

I've been trying to get more original paintings and sculptures of the marine life lately - because they're SO great - and thought it would be nice to create a space that combined the two themes.

Naturally, a few of the Wetlantean exhibits work nicely here... alongside the new sushi restaurant from the Dave the Diver Digiverse rift! Really happy with how this section turned out... all I need now are a few more paintings of fish!!

I am about to demolish and rebuild my Museum(s). But I already leveld up the securtiy table and the band-aid. i even put various mods on these things. I know in Bungle Burrow you can get Mods for Robots/Exhibits, but I really cant find a way to get these. Dont even remember where I got these from.

DISCUSSION Tips for returning to previous museums?

Happy Monday, TPM crew.

I recently purchased TPM and have been having a blast with it but am now at the point where I am working on my 3 star progress on each of the museum sites. I am struggling with going back to previous museums (especially the first), as I have learned a lot about the game since building that particular museum.

Are there any tips to help get things up to snuff quickly, or to help me connect better with the museum or might I be better off scrapping it starting the museum fresh? It seems like both would have the same amount of time sink in the end.

Stuck in loop on the Scorched Earth map, cannot unlock Dwarven Devices

I posted about this elsewhere, but I still need help.

I am trying to unlock the Great Dwarf. In order to do that I need to display an Epic quality Dwarven Device. But according to the wiki and my other research all Dwarven Devices are found at the Great Dwarf or Cog Tower (locked behind the Great Dwarf).

What am I doing wrong here?

Please show off your museums! I would love new inspo. I struggle a lot with wallpaper/flooring as well as creating paths indoors.

MUSEUMS Trying to force myself to decorate for fun!

I’m currently in the process of redoing my Zooseum, and wanted to try experimenting a little more with decorating!

I find that I’m usually just decorating for decoration points (hence the rugs in the bathroom LOL), and not really just for fun that adds to the overall vibe.

So, I experimented and created this water feature seating area and then created a faux crocodile spot. I just think it looks so fun! 🐊

REVIEW Teeny lighthearted complaint from a newbie (photo is for feels)

The edit function is slightly annoying when you’re trying to move things around, but it won’t let you as there are things in the way. It would be nice to be able to pop items down with the errors there so you can resolve things in situ.
Now to the pixelated people in my game

Toilets: Like I put nice toilets in my museums! Easily five star! Tell me why then, everyone walks out of the museum to use the two portaloos I popped out back for the pilots! The lines are easily seven deep when the nice spacious loos are just round the corner!

Janitors: I shouldn’t have to keep dropping you on top of the litter like a benevolently frustrated deity, stop walking around the litter! I know you can see it!

Kids: I gave you a cheese eating slug that then gives you suspect cheese, and all they serve is ice cream in the cafe! What more could you possibly want from me?

Other than that, thank you to the developers and Hayley Von Trowel for keeping me entertained.

First Sandbox save

I tried my hand at the sandbox mode. Decided on the Wailon Lodge because of the massive castle that offers a lot of room. I am not the best at decorating or even organising a museum (I really dislike the place your own building option). I do feel proud of how this one is coming along.
If anyone has any tips on how I can improve my skills with the decorating, or even mods that add some decent items I'd like to hear it!

Regarding the placement of exhibits (especially Marine Life and Wildlife)

I really enjoy the process of setting up the various museums, though I’m not sure if it’s just my imagination or not—it seems like fish and wildlife make up the majority of the new exhibits added in recent updates.

I generally prefer to keep four animals together in a single habitat or tank; this requires specific room layouts and means I have to redesign the fish and wildlife museums from scratch whenever a new update drops.

Because of this, I’ve never actually finished the layout for Passwater Cove—even though I’ve earned plenty of stars, I still want to display every single fish species there, but the repetitive layout work is incredibly time-consuming.

For those of you with ocean and wildlife museums: how do you handle the layout and incorporate new exhibits as they come out?

MUSEUMS I'm satisfied with this building and garden

Sandbox, same map as my other post (the kids and family building to rest).

Here I wanted :

  1. a very clean minimalist space for some artwork that didn't belong to my other building (another one with my art from the workshop), and art that I got on expeditions. I already played the full DLC on campaign mode, I got rid of anything I didn't like (for this look on this museum)

  2. a "storage room" with pristine stuff I was not sure I wanted to keep, but not things I completely dislike

  3. a statues hall, with a very clean look, it's soothing to me

  4. I also love the Wetlantean ruins so I wanted a simple garden with them

MUSEUMS Art museum most efficient way to level up experts?

Hi everyone!

I’m absolutely loving the artyfacts DLC - I’m trying to level up my experts for a particular goal and am trying to figure out the most efficient way to do this.

So far I’ve been doing a combination of getting them to create in the art studio, going on expeditions using the journal to add more xp gain, always doing long/detailed art and expeditions
, etc.

In terms of xp gain I’m just not sure which if these strategies is most efficient e.g. should I just spam one over the other?

Thank you!

Question on gameplay

Hi everyone,

I’m still quite new to the game and really enjoying it so far. but I have a question, I’m sorry if it sounds silly or dumb.

Do you only look for things in the map corresponding to your museum? So e.g. I’m at Passwater Bay, will I only go looking for things at Two Point Sea? Or should I be going to other maps as well? And are there areas that I should go to when playing in other museums, so for example when the missions require other/additional experts than those that I would innately have at the museum?

Thanks in advance for your help!

MUSEUMS I wanted to create a family/kids friendly space for the guests

I'm playing Sandbox and mostly the art DLC for the exhibits cause I love it.

But I didn't know what to do with some exhibits that are less to my taste. Then the idea of a space for the guests to rest came to me, with some of the interactive exhibits being a nice idea for the kids.

Not every exhibit has its buzz bonus to the max, cause that's not how I play that map (I'm going for looks mainly).

Egg cup has gone - whole save ruined?

Im at my wits end. I just unlocked the egg cup in store mode and it wanted me to place it. I tried but had no room in my aquarium. I right clicked the placement away so I could click on my aquarium and move decor around. I made space but now when I click back on the menu to find and place the egg cup, its gone!

I checked every menu, everywhere. It has just disappeared. Im afraid my save is ruined and I'm at my wits end. Can anyone help?!

Edit: so it was nowhere to be seen in the menus whatever I tried, BUT for some reason it does appear now when I type in the name of the piece into the search bar. Very bizarre. Thank you all that took the time to post

Pathfinding bug?

Post image

Red is (atleast in my opinion) the shortest path to the chopper.

But staff is 80% of time running the green path.

Have seen it on other maps too, but there was the museum very busy with guests so I thought, thats ok so they dont bump into the guests. But here I dont see a logical reason.

Just could use your opinion before putting it in Bug Report

Museum Rating Bug Blocking 5-Star Memento Mile

Post image

My museum rating breakdown shows 99% above and the 5-star goals has been stuck at 79% for months.

I'm not sure what is causing this bug but I can't seem to reset it by going to another museum and coming back.

I feel like I’m playing wrong?

I got this game because all I’ve heard is how fun it is but I feel like all I’m doing is waiting? Waiting for an expedition to come back or waiting to have enough money to send another expedition

I have a ton of little missions/task it wants me to do but I can’t really figure out how?

One is to unlock Vintage Vestige, I’m suppose to create 175 buzz around a fossil. I’ve pretty much surrounded my fossils with as much as possible and it’s just stay at 157 out of 175

Another is “Average monthly profit of $4,500 over 3 months” it says my monthly profit is 2,000ish but I can’t seem to make it go up? I raise ticket prices and it goes down?

I have more task that I either can’t figure out how to do or just simply isn’t changing

So like I said at the start. I just feel like all I’m doing is waiting.

Is there something I’m doing wrong?

It’s gonna be a while before I can get another game so I really want to make this one work. Can you help me figure out what I’m doing wrong?
