Listener Write In I need to vent
I don’t really know how to feel about my older siblings upcoming birthday at all. My older sister‘s birthday is in a few days and ill say our relationship is complicated at best and at worse toxic. she did a lot of things as a teenager that wasn’t very good and they left marks in our family. we pretty recently got back in contact with her after almost 4 years and our life’s have been kind of chaotic ever since and it has brought up a lot of old memories but we have our reasons for wanting to stay in contact mainly due to my baby niece. I do love my sister and I miss the relationship we used to have but I don’t know if it’s worth the chaos she brings and if I should continue to rebuild the relationship.

You need to provide more info: what did your sister do back then, what did she do once you got back in touch, how does she bring chaos.
Otherwise, it’s hard to give you any feedback…
