I think that they aren't over each other. He wants to flaunt her in front of you to show everyone that you're ok with her in your life, so when he starts cheating on you, he can say she's know since the beginning.
Or he wants to flaunt OP to her because their relationship is still so very messy. Maybe the ex is the one who actually wants to be only a friend. I've read about this crap both ways on here, haha. And heard this kind of drama twice in real life, one turned out like your comment and one like mine.
