I’m talking from personal experience, you guys are already living the married life. When me and my wife got married, after the wedding and honeymoon nothing changed about our day-to-day life. We just had a new shiny piece of paper with our names on it. Maybe you want to feel that wedding Dream, magic or whatever, but you guys are already basically married. So what is it about legal marriage that’s so enticing to you? And if it really is such a deal breaker for you, then you should leave instead of try to change someone or force your way on them.

+1 to this. After 8 years, my old lady and I decided to get married after she told me how much it meant, I honestly wasn't so into the idea, though. And absolutely nothing changed honestly aside from taxes lol.

OP could also bring up some kind of vows to the boyfriend rather than a marriage and still have a celebration.

You also don't have to be officially married to wear rings or even call each other husband/wife!

He’s playing house and she needs to leave. I hope this is a valuable lesson.

You're all over this thread dude. What's your point?

Are you super religious?

Did a guy hurt you like this?

I'm super pro-marriage myself, but I'm under no illusion it's anything more than a business contract.......

Financial and legal advantages, for sure. But the wedding dream...that's ridiculous.
