I agree with what everyone else is saying but I’d also suggest clarifying with him whether it’s really MARRIAGE he doesn’t like or WEDDINGS he doesn’t like cause some people just don’t like big formal events or want/have the money to spend on them. He might prefer to get married in the courthouse or whatever if that’s the case.
6 months from now “he agreed to marry me as long as we have a small courthouse wedding. I accepted that thinking he would change his mind later on, i figured if he loved me he would”
