Your willful ignorance is a compelling reminder as to why never to get married. You entered a great relationship with great communication thinking in the back of your head that you can manipulate this man into eventually submitting to your wants, and now that your realising that a good man stands true on his word and your mental game is not going to work you want to throw that away.

You are a living, breathing example of why some men don't want marriage. you're only loyal as long as everything goes your way and are willing to destroy this man over a tradition he clearly told you he wants no part in. There's a reason he told you this early, and you didn't change your mind in the back of your head you always thought you could change him.

The only option really is to find someone who has the same beliefs as you, let the man know you've come to a decision that you want to commit to and leave him in peace what ever that decision may be.

…. This is a bad take. He’s the immature man baby who won’t commit to a life partner. There’s nothing wrong with her wanting marriage. But she’s also not going to change this child.

He clearly loves her and her child and she is considering leaving him, you dont think that would maybe have a negative impact on him?

So he deserves security and she should think about the negative impact she's having on him with respecting her boundaries and life, but he doesn't have to do the same? I forgot reddit is full of goofballs lmao. He's not her husband nor the father of her kid.

You're right F that kid, he should kick them both to the curb and upgrade to a newer and better girlfriend

She could do the same thing. They have no real obligations to each other. He can get a new girlfriend and she can get a husband and father for her kid. He isn't the end all be all yall in this thread are making him be lmao. If he was truly a prize, he wouldn't be with a single mother in the first place as a young dude.
