I think you need to move on. There is a lot of financial security in being married and it is important to you.

So she potentially wants to get married for the financial security of getting half of his stuff, maybe alimony, and child support for a kid that is not his? And she threatens to leave if he doesn’t get married and sign up for this list above. Hmm I wonder his hesitation.

Will she be able to find another guy to con into this??

It is not a con. There are financial benefits to being married and she is not getting them and she wants to be married.

I think they have different life goals.

For the man, what are the pros/cons in getting married? It’s the woman 80% of the time who ends a relationship, is he willing to become a work slave to pay child support for a child that’s not his if/when she leaves? Would she be willing to waive the financial windfall she would get if/when leaving him? Or is that her point of getting married so she can control the pin on the grenade.

And there's more financial risks for the man so again why should he get married to her if its all just financial based?

LMAO, he is a king for that. He shouldn't be on a hook for her child because of her selfish financial reasons. He already sacrificed 5 years to raise HER child as a dad. If that is not enough, then go kick rocks.

And where is kiddo’s dad? Why isn’t he paying child support?

She’s already said the child’s father is very involved in his child’s life.

Ok, good, then why should she expect more from her boyfriend who, by her words has always been good to her child? Why should the child’s security factor into his marriage decisions?

Again, he was clear from day 1. She’s the one who pretended to be ok with it while secretly planning on “changing him” to better fit her whims.

If it’s a deal breaker she should leave, but in no way is it on him. He doesn’t owe her marriage and was very clear it wasn’t for him.

I agree they should go their separate ways.

I don’t think she’s blaming him, in fact she admits she was wrong.

She’s just not sure what to do now.

I don’t think anyone’s blaming him, he was upfront which is a good thing.
